I want to learn Power BI as a beginner, but there are so many options that choosing the most efficient and effective one is confusing. Someone recommended learning from KZbin videos instead of paying for expensive courses. My questions are: 1) Is KZbin sufficient to go from beginner to expert? 2) Are the older videos still relevant in 2024? 3) If I dedicate 2 hours daily, how long will it take to become proficient? 4) Do you have any other important advice? It's really important for me. Hoping for a positive and prompt response. Thank you.

1. I like maven analytics videos, they have udemy courses that seem good. 2. Not sure 3. Should be enough for a few months, but id imagine best way is try use it on your job even if its a non technical one. Don't publish it obviously. 4. Be a very good speaker, storyteller or everything fall apart and PowerBi is just a tool to solve business problem. Do not underestimate soft skills.

I was following an earlier version of the PBI training from Learnit (circa Mar-Apr 21) and due to work demands, postponed studies until recently. During that time frame, I lost my files and started over recently, having gone through 2/3rds of the training. Started over, but the web links for data have since expired. Did make some beautiful reports, alas lost to the data dump in the sky. Going to get through this training and then retake for certification.

This course could be better structured. Instead of creating multiple files, could future versions work through building one project from start to finish. Have multiple data sources for a single project, whether it be from online sources, Power Pivot / Power View Excel Spreadsheets and normal spreadsheets. Then work highlight some of the errors and then launch the project on the cloud.
