Thank you for always watching my videos! First, I recommend learning hiragana and katakana, then moving on to vocabulary and grammar. Once you understand basic words, gradually start learning kanji. On my channel, there is a playlist for N5 kanji. Please take a look at those videos. Even if you don't understand at first, through consistent and repeated study, I believe your understanding will deepen gradually, and your Japanese proficiency will improve.

"ぢゃ、ぢゅ、ぢょ" is rarely used today. We use "じゃ、じゅ、じょ." The pronunciation of both is the same. In the past, there used to be a distinction in the usage of both characters, and people would differentiate between them. However, that distinction gradually faded away, leading to the discontinuation of the use of 'ぢゃ, ぢゅ, ぢょ.' Nevertheless, due to historical remnants, there are still instances, albeit rare, where they are used in certain Japanese words, such as place names. That's why they continue to be included in lists even today.

What I did: Day One: Row 1 1. Write the first character 100 times (repeat for next character) 2. Say aloud each time I write the character 3. After writing and saying aloud each character 100 times, I then attempt to write each character in order (20 times) without looking at the previous characters if possible. Day Two: Rows 2 & 3 1. Revise yesterday’s work as desired 2. Same exercise as Day 1 but for Rows 2 & 3 instead Day Three: Rows 4 & 5 1. Revise Rows 1-3 as desired 2. Same exercise as Day 1 but for Rows 4 & 5 instead Day Four: All remaining Rows (2-3 hours) 1. Revise yesterday’s work 2. Same exercise as Day 1 but with all remaining characters up to ‘ん’ 3. After ‘ん’, we’re reintroducing existing characters with a slight addition to its character AND pronunciation (か becomes が). Instead of writing these new characters 100 times, I only practice the character 20 times. Day Five: All out Revision 1. Practice the standard table 20x (from あto ん) checking any errors I between each take. 2. Download ‘AnkiApp’ to utilise the flashcard. I don’t have a せんさい(teacher), so unfortunately I don’t have an external character randomiser to have me identify any/all characters. AnkiApp’s free version can achieve this with the use of flash cards. Days 6 & 7 1. Similar to ‘Step 1’ above but 10x 2. AnkiApp: Review 100x minimum I can truly say that I feel like the top student in my class (even though I’m the only student 😂), but for me to learn Hiragana in a week because of this video is crazy. Thank you so much for this video! I will look for a Katakana video on this channel for when I continue my journey in Week Three, and perhaps Kanji will just have to be something I learn as I go… apparently there’s too many kanji characters to learn as a beginner… so just learn whatever I think would be useful?
