Ma'am, I am 25. I started learning Kathak a week back. As a child I wanted to be a dancer but my mother opposed me. She wanted me to be studious only. I studied, I gained a good job n now I got chance to start mastering this blessed art form. I'm inspired each and every day by you. Steven, just get the same size of bells. If lighter then better. Yes 20mm do sound amazing but I would suggest to go for light weight ones...better and safer for the knees and the back. Please do your warm ups and cool down routines when dancing..

Tanni, if you can manage twenty chakkars, then you are already on the right path. What I feel you need is stamina building and balance exercises.

Mam....are we allowed to wear belts even before we start our coaching....as in bharathanatyam we are not supposed to wear the belts until we reach a certain level....and how to choose my khoongroos am bit confused
