@@hpa101 I know right Taz, yet he still persists trying to prove me wrong that he's getting more distance per dollar out of the 86. 😛👍 Never gonna happen Andre, you could run DOCILE on Nitromethane and still be cheaper per mile than the 86. 😂🤣

Wow that takes me back to metallurgy classes. The teacher smoked a pipe and he had a tooth missing in the bottom which he hung the end of the pipe from.

Good, informative interview. Could you ask some of these piston manufacturers what their views are on single compression ring pistons Vs the more common 2 ring pistons? While there's the option of running a higher pin height and longer rods, and there is less ring drag which potentially give more torque/power - is blowby and oil control significantly compromised? Oh, could you also ask the piston manufacturers representatives - well, the ones like this gentleman that knows their stuff - why more performance/race gudgeon/piston/wrist pins aren't tapered? They're primarily loaded in bending, where the piston is loading the connecting rod, and in shear between the sides of the connecting rod and the piston - both loads which need the most strength in the pin. But there in no real bending or shear loading towards the outer ends of the pin and so the required strength, and mass, requirement is dramatically reduced. Worse, it adds to the inertial loading on the most heavily loaded centre. The crush loading, though, will be roughly the same in the piston bore, so there will need to be material to resist that force. Not sure if I worded that well, I hope you got the gist.

Sir, you want a stock OEM engine if you're gunning for 100,000 miles of trouble free motoring with nothing but air filters and oil, plus possibly a cambelt by then I guess if applicable. That is what they are designed for 😉 - Taz.

Nah Jeremy was all good. It's one thing to answer a question, it's another to do it on camera after spending an entire week setting up and SEMA and talking non-stop 😎 - Taz.

@@hpa101 I've done the SEMA thing with big companies so I know how it is. He doesn't have to try and sell it but he should from a technical standpoint in this type of video. I just felt you had to prod him. It's all good, just my opinion. Great video

I hear ya, we'll see if Jeremy can redeem himself in your eyes next time we have a chat to him. Usually once the first one is under the belt and people get to know Andre they get easier and easier.
