This recovery process is only when someone forgets their Apple ID password or can this also be used when someone forgets their iPhone passcode to unlock Face ID? I’m at the 3 hour countdown and can’t remember my new passcode I created to unlock my iPhone. If this recovery process works for device passcodes at what point can I start the recovery process? When I’m completely locked out? Thank you.
@Learnwithjoel2 ай бұрын
Hi @daniell.6805, This would be only for the Apple ID Account. If you forgot the passcode to unlock the actual device, then the only way around that is to wipe the phone and start from scratch. You could then restore from an iCloud backup, but I'm pretty sure that would have the same passcode on it. If you're syncing everything to iCloud however, you really wouldn't lose content as all of your Photos/videos, text messages, contacts, calendars and such should be in the cloud. Thank you so much for taking your time to watch this video. It is greatly appreciated! If this video has been beneficial, I would be honored if you would consider sharing it with your social media network and expressing your gratitude for its assistance. Whenever I click the link to accept it just brings me to an Apple support site page even though I meet all the prerequisites listed?

Hi @Spritofjazz, The link for Recovery or Legacy contact? What device are you doing it from? So when someone adds you, the link isn't working? how can I bypass two factor authentication code if I lost my phone ?
@Learnwithjoel5 күн бұрын
Hi @stonergee420. Apple does not offer a way to turn off 2-Factor Authentication, however if you lost your iPhone, you can go to iCloud.com/find Here you should be able to login with just your Apple Account and password and there is an option to look at your devices without getting a code to your trusted device. Check out the @Apple Support article below for more info on this! 2:08 after selecting add recovery contact it goes to a security delay in progress window with a 1 hour timer counting down
@Learnwithjoel6 ай бұрын
Hi @terrybono5995 You most likely have "Stolen Device Protection" turned on that was recently added in an iOS update. This is another layer of security that doesn't allow to change certain info related to your Apple ID if you're not at a Significant location. It's a good thing, but can be a pain. This feature can be turned off and on again. Below is an Apple Support Article related to it: About Stolen Device Protection for iPhone support.apple.com/en-us/HT212510 THANK YOU so much for watching! It is appreciated more than you know!
