For anyone coming through, I got really hung up on APIs and had a hard time wrapping my head around them in this class and in class 27. I hit the trough for a hot minute. Just know that in addition to being able to ask for help on Discord, in Class 28, Leon goes through a few really good API examples step-by-step talking out his logic and reasoning and showing how to do each and every step. On one of them, he even explains it twice! He hits every nuance of getting through these and even exactly what he does in Postman. It helped me tremendously and now I get it. I still have some syntax to tighten up, but I get it now. If you find yourself in trouble in Class 26 or 27, DON'T GIVE UP because Class 28 really pulls it all together!

Thanks so much for your comment… I hit the API trough of sorrow for a while as well. Glad you’re kicking it!

But does he ever go over the homework of HOW you get the input without spaces? And how you get it to revolve? I'm currently looking on here for those tasks he gave us, and THAT is what is hanging me up right now, I don't know how to get past the homework problems.

for those who are struggling with API/Fetch I feel your pain. I almost gave up because of this. I went on and tried to power through the next few classes and it didn't work. Made it all the way to 54 and I was still lost... What finally helped me was walking away, building something the called an api through a tutorial and then practicing some codewars. Don't make the same mistake that I did and just move on when you're lost. But you can do this!

I hit my first roadblock after breezing through the earlier classes, took me a while to figure out why some JS lines need to be inside others, like data needs to be inside fetch, which needs to be inside your click function
