Where is this productivity derived from? Gross Domestic Product at Purchasing Power Parity (in 2023 prices), or the amount of goods and services produced, is divided not by the population but by the number of people employed in GDP production, resulting in the average annual productivity.

I'm moving to Moldova... to retire there with my American pension.

This video demonstrates GDP per employed person. For your purpose, it is necessary to focus on the price level. Here is a video that shows European countries with the lowest prices relative to prices in the USA: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKmlh6SCjZh8aZo

What is the source of this data? Seems extremely off.
@_Data_Visualization_2 ай бұрын
World Bank. The data consists of GDP PPP (in constant 2023 prices) divided by the number of employed people.

@@_Data_Visualization_ Any link to that data? I live in central Europe and can assure you Poland does not in 2024 have per-capita GDP PPP of $102 000. Maybe half of that at best.
@_Data_Visualization_2 ай бұрын
This GDP PPP is not per capita but only for employed individuals, such as workers and self-employed entrepreneurs (those who create GDP). Children and pensioners generally do not generate GDP, so they are not included in the calculation in this graph, as well as other similar segments of the population. Thus, this value indicates the average productivity of people engaged in economic activities. Among the World Bank data, you can find this information under the name "GDP per person employed." In 2021 prices, the GDP PPP in Poland would be approximately $90k per worker, while the video displays 2023 prices.

It is not the least productivity but the least values of currency and whole economy. Productivity can be measured only with achieving goals not by "general earnings divided by number of people and currency value".

This is PPP though so it (partly) compensates for that already

@@_Data_Visualization_ How does PPP measure quality of service in hospitals? Quality of teaching in schools, especially soft-skills? I understand that it's hard to measure. I'm against decribing it as "less/greater productivity".
