Totally agree with your observations! I prefer the Mk1 for ease of belt change. All in all, however, it is a great product.

I tested leather belt on my MK2 grinder, as long as clip as been removed. It works good. My leather belts don’t touch back rest. Because of my experience original elite grinder, I always pulse to ensure belt is properly centered. I do same with MK2 now.

Do you by chance have a video on the Air Filter and plexiglass case you use? I have been using the Worksharp Ken Onion, with the Blade Grinding attachment for years in my sharpening business. Great product and your videos are great. Keep it up.

Could you leave the side cover off and place an electronic angle finder across the upper rollers to adjust your angle?

Yeah they should have just made it cast aluminum and lazer edged the reading and been done with it.

This really sucks, waiting for your next video once/if you cut it down. Would be good if some bright spark could 3D print an angle guide to replace that plastic cowling all together. If it was not for this issue I would have placed my order already.
