Before you do anything with you Ever Boots tank boot, you have to condition the leather and you have to protect that leather. In this video, I use Lexol leather conditioner and Hubbards Boot Grease to tackle the job.

When I first bought those Everboot Tanks, I didn't think I was going to like them. It hadn't occured to me when I first bought them that they don't have a loop in the back to help pull them on. But all you have to do is open up the laces a little more and they slip right on. Mine wear better than just about all my sneakers. I'm going to get a pair of Tanks in nubuck soon. Awesome boots for a bargain.

Great video. I'm gonna start greasing my Danners up right now.

What are you going to use? Let me know before you do it. I can walk you through the steps. Use leather conditioner first. You don’t need to use a leather cleaner if they are new. If they are not new, start with a leather cleaner. Brush the boots off first! Then, use a professional leather cleaner. If you don’t have that, you can use a baby wipe :). Do not use mini oil, neatsfoot etc: only use Obenaufs heavy LP, or boot grease like I said. Anything else is likely petroleum based and will damage the leather.

I'm confused now. You're not normally supposed to use lexol or boot grease on nubuck leather.

The tank says “Nubuck”, but it is smooth leather. You’d be right but these tank boots are not nubuck, no matter what they say LOL.

@@jdog6200 perfect! I just bought a pair this afternoon off Amazon and they should be here tomorrow! I was trying to figure out the best way to treat them so this is great news! I'm used to good quality leather on thorogoods, chippewa and whatnot. You know what I mean. Thank you! I'll use lexol then my ll bean conditioner. I have all kinds of conditioners and oils. Could go bick 4 also..only thing I'm worried about is the soles separating. Seen a few reviews on Amazon of people having that issue. And just hope the toe box doesn't get too soft over time. We shall see! I'll let you know how they do. You still wear yours at all? Or have they since passed lol

@@ksajak It's great that you noticed the Nubuck and I'd love to hear your thoughts on them once you try them out. Interestingly, I believe Bick 4 may be produced by Lexol behind the scenes. I have experience with both products and found that they share a similar smell, appearance, and consistency. I'm confident that the Goodyear welt on these shoes should prevent any sole separation problems. As for LL Bean products, I'm not familiar with them. However, my advice for maintaining footwear is to steer clear of any products that contain silicon or petroleum. I recommend using boot grease with natural ingredients instead. This will ensure that you protect your shoes while avoiding any harmful chemicals. What shoe care products do you have?

@@jdog6200 ll beans boot guard is actually really good! It's all natural and works amazing. Which is why I've been using over obenaufs recently. But I have the ll bean boot guard, obenaufs oil and heavy duty, lexol, bick 4, Smith's leather balm, nakona leather grease, huberds oil, leather honey, snoseal and some cobblers choice leather cream. I have a couple others but cant remember the name of them right now and I'm too lazy to get up lol. There are more positive reviews on them than bad so we shall see. For 60 bucks I don't mind finding out. I only work part time because I have bad hips that will need replacing soon. I'm only 35 too! I've been wearing timberland pros because they feel good on my feet, but the outside of my right foot has been bothering me for some reason so I decided to try something different. I'll be happy if they work cuz they're more than half the price cheaper! I cant really wear chippewas and whatnot anymore..they're just too heavy. I need a good beater boot I can just put on and go. I appreciate all the help and the quick replies man. You're a good dude! And one of the only ones to have videos on the tanks! I thought there would be many more reviews but nope! Thanks again man and hope you and the fam have a great day!

@@ksajak Check out RedBack slip on boots. I own two pairs. They have an orthopedic foot bed that may help with the hips. Crocs slip ons sandals have relieved my knee pain after switching from flip flops. I was told never to use sno-seal.

He said during first video he was going to wear them for a month then do a video on how they held up. Obviously he's never even worn them as you can see from the perfect soles and doesn't mention fact he said he'd wear them. I was extremely disappointed since I just ordered same boots from Amazon and was looking forward to rest of his review....

Dude, did you look at follow up video I made of the shoe? I made the first two one day after the next and then the follow up one month later just like I said I would. Not trying to be insulting, but sometimes it’s good to look before you type my man... But, let me help you. The boots rock. I wear them every time I go out now. I switch between these and my redback slip on boots. The soles are wearing great! I skateboard in these almost every other day since Corona virus is keeping me out of the mud. For how soft the soles are... they are wearing great.
