What kind of paint are you using? Also, what is "resist"? Curious how durable it is and if you find it rubs off over time or when it gets wet. Thanks! Great vid.

Hey mate, on these I only use dye, no paint and it was Fiebings Pro Dye. The pro dye does rub off a little bit, the Fiebings "Leather Dye" does rub of a lot more, so there are differences in dyes, the pro dye is oil based, the leather dye pigment based. I have a pair of these not for about 3 years, I use them in the summer all they time, twice soaked them complete and kept using them wet once in heavy raining and in the baths and where no trubble, but the combination of very wet and rubbing my feet removed some of the dye on the tooth. The "resist" is a protection for leather and dye, it is some kind of waterbased latex stuff that soaks in the leather and makes it more water resistant and reduces rub off. The resist is similar to a top coat / finish on wood if you oil it or put on another kind of protection

Very nice, and very doable. Thanks for this. So, where do you acquire the rubber sole material? Or maybe you used the sole from the flip flop?

Thank you :) I got the sole simply from amazon, but it is accually from a german seller. Check for something like 'Sole rubber sheet' and I am sure you will find something
