Great pattern thank you for sharing. I think that i would put a little seeder stamp right where the cross connects

When you said to Step it up.... I was thinking adding Antique. Cutting in the 'Seed' was a nice touch. Excellent exercise in Swivel knife control. Turn the D2194 90deg to end the pattern. Then it will be excellent for a book mark or belt/strap. Thanks for sharing.

do you have to seal those slices you put in the leather with the swivel knife, with a water proofing ??
@DanielReachCreations6 ай бұрын
Ideally, yes. But sealing it as you deal the rest of the project will work.

Thanks, Daniel. I always lear something from you. Question, what weight of leather do you NOT stamp or carve. 2 to 3 Oz, 4 to 5 oz?
@DanielReachCreations6 ай бұрын
You can stamp all the way down to a 2oz or so, but obviously you sacrifice depth and rub the risk of punching through.

@DanielReach-TheLeatherVerse Thanks, that is kind of what I thought. I just wanted to check with an expert.

A while ago, someone on the Chuck Dorset Facebook group suggested practicing stamping with playdoh. It works well 🎉

I've heard that idea before and I think it's an excellent suggestion!

Does this work with faux leather?
@WeaverLeatherSupply5 ай бұрын
We don't have experience with faux leather but there are some videos on KZbin that may help. It looks like heating the faux leather first with a heat gun and then stamping will give you an impression. Hope that helps!

I can’t afford stamps so I just grab random shit around my house & pound it into the leather. The sides of thumb tacks look interesting.

That's genius and so creative!! I'm inspired to start hammering things and see what happens, what kinds of other household objects have you tried and felt worked well?

Regarding metric versus standard measurements, bear in mind that there are two types of nations on this planet: those that use the metric system, and one that put a man on the moon.

@allan339 We did it not just once, but six times. Refresh my memory please. How many times have other nations landed on the moon?

@allan339 Aw, you're just upset that you can't comprehend anything other than base ten measurements. lol
