Leather Stamping Tools, Segment 9, Adding to Our Stamp Designs

In this series, Chuck Dorsett walks through some leather stamping tools. We are finishing out our Leather Stamping series with a few techniques that will really make your stamp designs stand out! Chuck goes over some helpful methods for dyeing your stamped pieces, and demonstrates how spots can complement your designs. Chuck, brother i LOVE you videos, but can you do something about the over exposure? The light balance is over exposed and I can barely ever see stuff that is detailed because of the light over exposure. It sure would help us to see things better if the white balance was corrected. Thanks in advance my friend, sincerely love the videos and am grateful for all you have learned me 🙂

Great series! Two questions though: How long to let the antique sit on the project before buffing the excess off, and how long to let it dry after that, but before you apply the topcoat? I've noticed the antique can be much more difficult to buff off if you let it sit too long.

If you want to put stamps/tooling designs on a wet molded project, can you stamp/carve while its forming? Or do you need to do them as separate steps?

I"ve used small silver and brass double headed rivets in place of spots on a watch band, but its still too much shine.
