Leatherman Arc vs TTi ~ Which tool to buy with the price increase?

TTI is the better tool if you plan to use it. I've had both. Sold the Arc after a week of owning it. During that time, I broke the cutters twice on super easy wire that even my Gerbers' carbide cutters have no trouble with, the frame was flexing like crazy, and the blade had to be sharpened 3 times because the "Magnacut" (if that's really what it is) didn't hold an edge worth a damn

I’m glad I got the TTI before the price increase. I went with it over the Arc because I use a serrated blade more than an awl, but I wish tti had the bigger scissors of the Arc. Overall I ’m happy with the tti though.

Leatherman is out of their minds with the pricing. The better option is to buy a low end multitool for $40 and spend the other $190 on real tools. These two multitools come in at $430. That's nuts.

Agreed and prices will keep rising too. Leatherman knows we will pay it after the garage series! Than the arc coming in at $230. So they will start raising it on other tools

​@@appleztooranges yes as long as the demand is there, they will continue price increases. I still think the Surge/Wave/Charge is the better options and use the other money to buy real tools as stated above. I'm happy with what Leatherman tools i have, wouldnt be buying for a Long while.

Hi yes I would have both of them and of course yes I have both of them in my collection and I would not worry about the price too much think myself if you want one get yourself one as long as it's not too overpriced.

the ARC comes at 300euro in France completly not worth it and the TTI 280euro

Sounds like Europe still has the very high import tariffs that their governments have enjoyed for almost a hundred years. Just another way to tax goods that consumers want to buy.

I have both and I will continue to use my Charge TTi for daily carry, I can trust it, whereas the ARC has yet to earn my trust.
