Brilliant. This idea is well-worthy of becoming an actual product. Theee are a lot of Waves, Surges, ans other LM owners who would snap this up. Kickstarter?

Very nice. Next how about putting a glass breaking tip on the Leatherman clip.
@zZz7774 жыл бұрын
👍 Thanks Everfree I will think about it. Anyways you can break the glass with the glass cutter too. Emergency case of course. 💤

zZz 777 that cool. I’ve seen a clip with a glass breaker tip but he didn’t really explain how he did it.

Here is an idea I have for storing more gear on the surge or other leatherman. Embed / glue in a 3d print the long metal pocket clip. Make the 3d print the same size as the external plate of the surge, so it can rest the one on top the other. Now you have a removable plastic plate with the clip. Design the plastic plate clip in a way similar with the plastic of the victorinox (thick) and leave space for the pen, the toothpick etc. Also you can create other spaces and have more gear than a victorinox in it stored. Another way to implement it, could be on a sheet of metal instead of plastic, by shaping the metal with the dremel and create the storing space and some kind of i.e. locking sliding port. ... or you can use both metal and plastic (thin metal for the bottom and engraved epoxy on the top. This idea could be implemented also with just some screws and a thin box / case. You could just screw the case on the leatherman clip. Easy removable and with a lot of storage / multifunctional. :) Also the clip merged with some kind of heavy duty pouch / tiny bag... ;)

Cool! Have you ever thought of acid/vinegar etching your blade? I'm planning to try it as soon as I get the right bit to open mine.

@@zZz777 I understand it but what is the acid that corrode and make effervescent when you wright UPSS?
@zZz7774 жыл бұрын
Flux. Helps tin to stick better. With flint didn't work. But with copper and diamond metal perfect.
