This song did exactly what the band wanted it to do, inspire change. Boys, I finally left a fucking absolutely toxic shitty job I was long overdue for leaving, but it was hard to walk from for various reasons. One day I'm cooking in my kitchen fucking depressed and this song comes on again and even though I listened the it before, I finally heard it. It's like the song and music video were written just for me. I can't thank you enough for this, it was the fuel, the fire, and the voice saying "You don't need to keep taking that shit anymore man, the only one keeping you prisoner here is you. Now get the fuck up, open the cell door, and don't walk but RUN the fuck out of here and make a better life". I think about the lyrics of this song and the imagery of this video every day it seems like. Thank you Headstones, cannot wait to see you live again.

I was watching Continuum and thought this guy looked familiar, so I went to IMDB and it said something about his band. I'm pretty sure I met him at a rock show or festival or something a long, long time ago. In the states I don't think Headstones are very big so I'm pretty sure I've never heard them, but they sound great even at a relatively advanced age. I wish my band held together like that.
