I swear, the author just decided to punch us in the gut with Tommy’s death, dangles false hope in front of us, punch us in the gut again when we found out he can’t be revived, and then that dream/derealization sequence. That was really the hardest part for me to get through, the rest was painful enough, but just reading all those different povs and slowly realizing that it wasn’t real, they weren’t actually reunited, was horrible for me. Still gonna do it again though

In my opinion that's what made it so good, the author of the fic knew how to write the story well and that's why it hurt so much. Thscus wrote it so damn well that it's incredible.

I know it’s a good story when I start cussing out the author lol Passerine was wonderful. I started writing notes at chapter 6 about details I noticed and found fascinating in the writing and plotting. Gosh, it was so well made. I’m literally just still in awe. I could probably go on about all the brilliant ways they hinted on things and details I picked up and whatnot forever. I just really enjoyed it ig :D

I thought a few weeks was enough to desensitize myself to Passerine but I should've known better. The flashes of Tommy, Techno's sister, and Mumza smiling back at Phil, Techno, and Wilbur... I can almost hear Tommy telling Phil "I better not see you, Wil or Techno again for a long, long time”. And then that last scene... to think that Wilbur and Techno had lived their lives, and were finally able to go to that field of flowers under the open sky. "A place made for waiting, where all the finished stories went". Reunited once again with their loved ones. I'm in tears.

It hurts even more when you don't really believe in that place. It sounds beautiful but to me it's not real. I can never see anyone I love ever again after they pass. They are simply gone. They return to the earth never to he seen again. Which is so painful because I lost my brother and believe I'll never see him again. I respect your belief system and it sounds beautiful. But I cannot bring myself to believe in it

I love Passerine for the detailed explanations, the moments where it becuase so emotional that I had to stop reading becuase I was actually crying. The fact that this was a bittersweet ending and it just feels so natural to how they are personified. The relevance to the DreamSMP, the fact that the characters are distinguished in such a way with their own unique personality. Its breathtaking. Personally one of my favorite things ever read. You capture the bittersweet storyline so effortlessly. The transitions and the facial expressions. Now if only I could get my friends to read it...

I just finished reading Passerine. *I CRIED INTERNALLY- SO MUCH- ALMOST PHYSICALLY-* It overly difficult to make me even shed a tear. And Passerine made me actually need to take a break from just straight reading after Tommys death. And then we got false hope he would be revived, and once proven false I needed another break. *In total it took my a good 10 hours to read it all. Including breaks, without the break maybe 8 hours.* And the animation you made here, for the exact same fic that could now just be considered it's own entire book. I almost broke, reading it. And almost broke watching this. How'd you like your meal of sad beings tears and internal tears? Maybe even heart breaking for a billionth time of reminder of the book?

Oh my… This is- I’m crying right now. How at the end we just see them playing beside Tommy’s grave… And then Phil. Finally returning like he promised. To a stump and wilted flowers, with three graves side by side. They left that one day knowing they would never see Phil again most likely but found comfort in his promise to find them again someday. The end of this litarlly left me in tears. God this is amazing. The ending you gave us just summed up would I wish would have been said. Passerine, no doubt was my favorite book FanFiction or not I’ve ever read. Thank you so much for making this. Now if you excuse me, I’m going to go add my tears to the severe thunderstorm outside. ;D
