Being able to respect others while also communicating to someone that is, maybe even unintentionally/unknowingly, stepping on you and making you feel bad is important for both sides: Because if this imbalance keeps going then the victim will get used to the abuse and, consciously or not, will feel like it does not deserve to be treated equally as other people, while the other side will get used to act like an ass and will sooner or later, find the right person or situation that will come with the realization that when it's about others, it needs to be applied a certain amount of respect to avoid conflicts and upsets, at that point the abuser will _hopefully_ start to consider being more careful with others, and loosing the perceived privilege of being more important all of a sudden may also cause a feeling of worthlessness.

aint that the truth. i have so many friends men and women who have spent their whole adult lives co-dependent. The thought of them being on their own seems more impossible than living without food and water. If they leave someone they have to cheat 1st to have another boy/girlfriend and place already setup to fall back on or if it happens suddenly they will just fall for the next guy/girl no matter who it is. I'm lucky i live downtown area of a nice city so finding a date or 2 or 3 isn't hard but HAVE to take time in between relationships to focus on myself. i take the ability for granted too far often

Gabriel 1 Giving a second chance to someone who hurt you doesn't mean to let them abuse of you again if you explain them with seriousness and confidence what you didn't like. But in this situation, I think that a serious amount of time needs to pass before considering to give a partner like that another chance, because if it doesn't take much to them to get with someone else, than they still don't understands love beside the physical one, because true love and affection takes time to build up, and it doesn't change like that in less than a day.

@juliochavez16826 жыл бұрын
Mr Happy I hear you on that. I had a similar situation happen to me not long ago; I hooked up with an ex BPD girlfriend of mine from 2 years ago. The sex is magical, but then after that, things go back to being how they used to be. They can't be fixed (and don't take responsibility for their shitty and narcissistic behavior) and all you can do is keep on learning, walk away with your self-respect, enjoy what life has to offer (meet, date, and hook up witg other women, find a purpose in life), and meet other people that will value you and not take you for granted.
@Happy-Me.6 жыл бұрын
Thank you Julio. They take advantage of your good nature which seems so wrong and put themselves at risk with someone who inevitably will treat them badly. In life you only get a few chances to meet up and be with outstanding people. Sadly Borderlines don't deserve to be with them. This girl was my first love when she was 16 and me 18. I met up with her again in our 50's. To see how she had allowed life and herself to become what she is now was heartbreaking and I did so much to improve her life and self esteem. Her friends pleaded for me to stay and look out for her. We loved each other so much and I tried to stay with her but I just couldn't take it anymore. I feel I let her down but I had to also look after myself as I felt I was slowly losing a grip on reality!! Yes we lasted just over two years too!
@kayabottono82806 жыл бұрын
Mr Happy and julio how sad you both bag on people who have bpd. This illness is caused by childhood trauma. These people were abused and neglected and this is why they don't have the emotional skills they need. You are completely uneducated on the topic and have a lack of empathy. You clearly never helped either women with self esteem or gave them support (you don't even understand the illness which would never of helped nor can you ever of offered any ACTUAL support when you don't know the needs of that person? ) they would have got better with your support if you actually had a clue. How dare you say these people don't deserve anyone because of the abuse they went through which was not their fault. I think your projecting on the narcissism, you are the one sounding like a true narcissist julio. I suggest you both Educate yourself on mental health or stfu with your judgements. As to be attracted to someone with bpd shows mental health in you as the partners they attract normally Co dependants/ narcissists/ emotionally disconnected people. There is so much proof of this. So you yourselves would of had one of these. Sorry to piss on your parade but Borderline never get in relationships with emotionally and mentally healthy people
@Happy-Me.6 жыл бұрын
Kaya Bottono I’m afraid some of what you say is nonsense. I knew this girl a long time ago. Her issues were never a problem or issue to be dealt with. I treated her with respect because of the love I had for her. I put up with so much and tried so hard to understand her. The more I educated myself on the subject the worse it was for me. How can you help someone you think has BPD if they feel that there is nothing wrong with them? Regardless of what you say it became health and self. It was affecting my life in too many ways that eventually it would have been very detrimental to me and I couldn’t risk that. I’ll never stop loving her but sometimes love just isn’t enough!

Here is what you MUST know about the “S” test: 1. If you agree to it then you have already flunked it. The only “S” test you should agree to is the one you give HER. 2. All answers given MUST be no answer at all. For example, “Really?” or, “Ha, that’s funny” or even, “Well, that's ridiculous” or simply no answer at all. 3. Always SMILE at what ever they say to you no matter how ridiculous or rude they become. This tells them that WHAT they say to you has no bering - they have absolutely no AFFECT on you OR your mood. 4. If at any time they become unentertaining OR too rude, simply walk away. 5. If they flunk YOUR “S” test - do NOT give them another chance. Simply walk away. 6. NEVER lose control of the situation. Never allow them to believe that THEY are in control of you. Everything should be done at your behest with your expressed permission. Anything less and they will lose respect for you AND the relationship will be over. This does NOT mean that you have to be rude or a control freak. Always be nice - even when they are not nice to you. REMEMBER THIS FIRST AND FOREMOST: Never EVER put up with a woman's “S” - Not even her “S” tests. As soon as she finds out that you are willing to put up with her crap, that is all you can ever expect from her. She has to be aware that you are NEVER willing to be complacent about how she treats you. If she treats you poorly - the exit is close by. Use it. Absolutely nothing is worth the price of a female’s “S”. PERIOD. FINALLY: Women do not set the social “standards of etiquette” for our society - but they should abide by them. Moreover, it is inappropriate in today's environment for anyone to cull their own group as MORE SPECIAL or exceptional than any other. In short, they should abide by all of the SAME social rules of engagement as any other group. Never allow the females in any situation to collectively hold males to standards they themselves are unable to act in accordance to. Keep this at the forefront in all dealings with ANY group - especially females in specific and women's groups in general.

I have watched a lot of your videos among other coach's videos ,I just want to say I respect your teachings.I find them to be true,but very depressing. Women basically love men that aren't emotionally attached to them. Therefore for me it's hard to ever truly find that one that I can connect with and care for. Seems like a lot of hard work,and my games,and fake BS to be happy. No wonder our society is jacked up. Everyone is sleeping around with multiple partners and they have no emotional connection. Its like our society encourages narcissistic behaviors .Really,its sad that I have to play games, and not be the loving man that God gave me the heart to be just to keep a woman that I love. I guess this is why my relationships fail,and I have never married at 40 because everyone is only in love with their self.
@j_jones_5 жыл бұрын
SoldierJ613 it’s not that they want someone who isn’t emotionally attached to them, they don’t want a man who is weak and has low self-esteem. That is an indicator that the man is truly not strong enough to defend her. That’s why a woman will shit test the fuck out of you. She subconsciously wants you to stand up for your own dignity for her sake.

Also, you definitely have to keep yourself as your focal point. Women will try to suck up all of your time, and if you dont do what you need to do for yourself, and put it off she will resent you. Also you unfortunately have to keep them guessing by making sure you make time to go hang with your boys and do stuff without her, otherwise she will get too comfortable and you will be too predictable. Hey it's just female nature and you can either learn it and deal with it our be loveless. It all goes how its supposed to you'll get there brother.

Here's the thing Gary -- if you loved yourself the way you love her you would never allow yourself to be with a woman like her. I just dumped a gorgeous woman -- a solid 9 -- because after 4 months I collected all the red flags and looked at them and realized they all came from her having really low self esteem. Just being friends with her involved a lot of drama so I had to end it. Better to cut these people out earlier rather than later because the drama only gets worse. Walk away and mean it. Guys, you've gotta understand that the key to ALL of this isn't just Corey's work, it's about loving yourself. Google "self love mirror exercise." This worked for me, after 2 months of doing this my life began to change. I began to notice when I would criticize myself and cut it off at the pass. Each day led to more self-respect and less self-abuse. It's because of this that I was able to easily walk away from a gorgeous woman. Because I love myself and I know she's not healthy for me. Do it.

Hey Coach - great advice and great tools. Just got led on by a friend who started texting and then just stopped on my birthday (nice friend). Thought about texting back but I'm following your advice. She knows how to reach me and she will contact me if she wants. I'm moving on. Thanks.

My ex has anxiety and depression from previous relationships, and family abuse like really bad abuse. Her family is a mess and trust me when i say it’s a mess. She ditch me last week just before Christmas when she was the one asking me to spend it with her. I got her help when we were together a couple of months ago she is seen psychologist and taking some meds.she is always breaking up with me and texting me after so we get back together. Enough. I love her more than anything but just realize that she is not for me, it’s always a drama, nothing is good for her. I’m a good looking guy (says my mum) and used to be a model when I used to live in Brasil I’m just walking away and will never look back. sometimes the best it’s to let it go and believe me I’m in the worse pain I ever felt in my life. But I’m the most important person in my life also I own some respect to myself. Thanks to Corey for all the videos. I’m listening to your book on the daily basis.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

You did good, and your ex most likely has borderline personality disorder. That crazy cycle of "go to hell - please don't leave me, I love you" is a distinct BPD trait.

@@JonKonik11 Yeah I saw that too in a different video. lol I always look at 'alternative' medicine with a critical eye. There are a lot of alternate medicine scams out there, like Christian Science. L. Ron Hubbard is a scamming genius. lol You know he wrote Sci Fi books before switching to something more lucrative? Battlefield Earth was a pretty damn good book IMO.

Eye contact avoidance, yes. Tilted body posture? Depends. I only square up with someone i either hold in high regard or someone I'm about to confront. Similar stance in both square ups or side posture but VERY different reasons for each of the 2 types. Both are accompanied by other movements depending on the type of (side) or (straight).

I was with the girl she was addicted to pain medication. Her mood swings were always up and down, and I always thought it was me, but then I sat down and I talk to her grandmother and her grandmother. Also the girl I was with has stated that she’s been in various relationships, even though she had two different kids from two different men I try to be there for her and so many ways but she was just so disrespectful. I had a part ways I should’ve knew when they told me none of her relationships lasted more than 3 to 4 years.

I continuously asked the ex to fix our problems or his issues. They were ignored over and over. I became tired of finding things out. I’m to blame for allowing him to keep doing me wrong as he would beg me to stay after he’d be caught. The second time I broke up with him. He said it was over. He got with whom I believe he was cheating on. After two weeks he told me he was “seeing” someone. Who now is his girlfriend. This guy exhibited narcissistic traits. Which I realized after we were done. I felt so discarded. I believe it was for the better. I sadly have a child with him. I have become a much better person. I have remained single. I had to work on myself and not drag my issues into a future relationship. I feel I am a great person but I sadly I became a bad person when I was with him. I would get so upset when I’d find out something he wasn’t supposed to do. So I cursed him out. He said I verbally abused him. I admit that cussing him out wasn’t the right thing to do. However, I feel he was projecting his multiple problems onto me. What do you think ?
@ViralVeediuh Жыл бұрын
How do you feel about it now? Three years later? It sounds like you were a bit controlling. “Found out things he did and wasn’t supposed to.” So you yelled at him? If it was cheating things, then you should have broken up with him. Other than that what things did he do that he wasn’t. Not good to live on eggshells.

The diet thing is so true. I was in the Army for six years and was deployed twice to Iraq. Two instances happened when one, we were short on food and water living in a foxhole in the desert for about 30 days. We had some clean water and mostly purified water that was horrible and only MREs to eat. So after 40 days we are in a big base and can have normal or real food. Keep in mind it was after barely eating anything. So I pile my plate up with stuff mostly breakfast items with salsa eggs and orange juice and so on. Almost immediately it didn't feel right. Then we start walking out and like a bomb hit me, everything came back out and got a huge headache etc. In the 40 days I had lost 25 lbs too. Colin Powell talks about it in his book when eating with the locals then heading to Saigon for debrief-same thing happened. When I got home after my first tour I went to Starbucks and the caffeine and sugar literally made me feel like I was having a seizure-I had to go to the hospital because I thought I was having a panic attack stroke and heart attack all at once. Keep in mind I was a fit Infantryman six feet tall that weighed 177 lbs. lol

The part about having someone turning away from you when you look at them straight on is so true. There was one guy at my entrepreneur Club who I was talking to at the bar and started out with my back to the bar talking to him cuz I had turned around and faced him to talk. By the end of our conversation he had his back to the bar cuz he just kept turning every time I stepped in front of him😂

Just what I needed right now. This girl I work with was totally into me. Touching me, flirting with me etc. I got her number etc and set a date. She flaked the first time and I just ignored it. The next day at work she apologized and suggested we go out tomorrow. I agreed and the next day I text her with a time and all of a sudden she drops off the earth. I can't tell if it's a silly game or I'm being played, but I give her no respect or attention anymore. In the past I would've freaked out and chased her. I guess I'll see how it pans out. But if she does shit like that, she doesn't get my attention. If she contacts me again should I set a date or just walk away?
@drewvu685410 жыл бұрын
You keep physical contact to a minimum and only use the phone to set dates. Don't over txt and talk indefinitely over the phone, that's what the dates are for. If she txt you, you set a date. Right now you should only contact her only when she reaches out to you, more than that and you'll come off as needy.
@luidsasdfghj10 жыл бұрын
Same thing is going on with me, well at least the first part. There's this chick where I work at and she seemed into me when we first met. She asked me personal questions like where do i live, am I still in school, and if I like working there ( I work at a restaurant-buzzing, she works there as a hostess). I know I screwed up in a few ways. I was the one who was supposed to be asking the questions and letting her do most of the talking but instead she attacked me with all these questions, that I found myself just responding. I asked her a few questions I could think of at the moment, including asking her where she grew up and she said alot in response lol. So there was about a minute of us just staying quiet and then as i was about to ask her out like corey says, when the phone freaking rings (which she had to answer) and I was called to go do my job /.- so to finish my story the night passed by and she was later somewhat flirting with one of the waiter, including some touching.. mostly from the guy. So im just wondering should i ask her out next time i see her or should i just forget about her?
@drewvu685410 жыл бұрын
My best advice is to keep it natural. Dont focus so much on the girl and just keep the flow natural. When you see her at work say hey what's up. Ease the tension by making her feel comfortable and laugh. Crack a joke, flirt. Tease her when you see her and when she responds to you in a positive manner, man up and ask for her number. Don't txt back and forth and talk endlessly on the phone. Set a definite date and go from there. HANG OUT, HAVE FUN, HOOK UP. Keep it simple.

FedgeGondola you shouldn't be worrying for that. Maybe she looks you as backup option as maybe her relationship with her boyfriend isn't that great. Just keep it casual and things will work out. You should remain centered while doing that, keeping conversations lite and funny. You're a catch, if she doesn't realize that it's her lost. If she reaches out to you, make a date on spot. :) luidsasdfghj You're not her boyfriend. She can flirt with anyone that she like so you shouldn't be paying attention to that. You didn't screw things up, you just aren't mysterious as much but maybe she finds you as a great guy being around. :) The other guy will fuck up eventually as he is as 97% of the men. Drew Vu gave you excellent advice.

After 5 years from our breakup my ex invited me to hers to stay and spend a holiday with her for 5 days. She was so excited, took time off work she did, I flew 1300 km spent hundreds of euro to see her. The first night I was there she made me a third wheel. Kissed another guy that she was clearly seeing. We fought I spilled my guts. She thought we were just friemds. I confessed my love for her, I gave out saying I flew all this way all this money I'm right here right infront of you. What you did to me was lousey. She said if I had been honest with my intentions she wouldn't have invited me. I spent the next 4 days awkward but trying to be happy. Watching her take selfies and send them to who knows. Getting jealous thinking when I go she'll be in his bed. It was the most degrading hardest 5 days of my life. Its been 1 week, I went from my ex inviting me wanting to hang out. Her being sooo excited at airport and most of first day, to guy arriving going out watching them kiss on dance floor big fight, her telling me nothings changed. Its been 5 years of constant contact. To her kind of despising me and kind of getting along. And to her being like she can't wait to see me leave. All because I was weak mentally, didn't level up, had the same behaviours. Had oneitis, was a beta, tried too hard to please, cried I think drunk infront of her. She friendzoned me hard but there was something she knew how I felt I told her many times before I flew over but she forgot this. It was obvious from our conversations she was into me. The week I was there I started watching Corey's vids to get as much as I could out of them. I will read the book soon. 10 to 15 times. I told her I think she's an amazing woman I find her so attractive but I just can't have a friendship anymore with someone I love. I told her take care of herself and blocked her on all social media. This is rough. I've been through it twice with her now.
