Welcome to MN! Lived her for 66 years and I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. I love the seasons, and the people are so outgoing and friendly. Enjoy the lakes and the trails. They are plentiful.

We are a little bit in love with this couple. We kept nodding our heads in agreement. Welcome to Minnesota! We are a great place for artists.

They’re really great. 😊 I actually thought of you a few times while we were chatting AND several other clients that are artistic or have artistic kids that have been happy with their choice.

What a great video and Matt and Erin did a fantastic job describing MN and CA. They are right about CA, expensive, crowded, high crime rate, transient lifestyle, high density housing everywhere and it is always hot and sunny ad nauseum. It makes me want to move to MN this week! I checked out Erin's website and she does, indeed, have very nice high quality items. In CA, we do not have basements...why are basements even needed in MN?

Hi! Thanks for watching- Matt & Erin really are awesome! I’m so grateful they agreed to give their story. So … basements! They aren’t REQUIRED, per se. Although in extreme weather you may want an appropriate place to shelter from a tornado. They are actually WANTED, people love them! It’s an entire additional level of living space (or interior storage), we often have our utilities there and laundry. Many people have a family room, bathroom, extra bedroom down there. Many people that move here tell me they would love to have one! And my answer is usually- good luck NOT having one! Most houses do have a basement. Let me know if you have more questions! Happy to answer and thanks again for watching!

@@MarySchumann Thank you for your comprehensive reply, Mary! The only people in CA that have a basement are people who use them as sex dungeons or are serial killers. 😄 Seriously, they do sound very practical and I would use them to sleep in in the summer because I assume a basement is cooler than the rest of the house. BTW, Matt and Erin look 15 years younger than their ages. Maybe living in MN makes one go back in time. 😊

😱 😂 watch out for basements in CA! I admit to sleeping in mine when it’s peak of summer, it’s cooler AND because we are so far north our days are very long in summer and the sun is up by about 5:30, so this lets me sleep a little later too

I'm down in Texas, but have a passel of relatives in Minnetonka/Hopkins. If it was solely my decision, I'd a been up there years ago.

I have a lot of buyers that come from texas! That playlist has at least 2 interviews with Texans- we’d love to have you!

Kyna!! I know you know! I'm so glad you guys are still happy here. Probably a lot of the same experiences for you! I really can't believe it's been 3 years. 😳

Born and raised here in Minnesota. Depends on where you live. It’s a beautiful state but I would stay far away from Minneapolis.
