I usually don’t comment on any video but I can’t stopping saying that mam you are from India our language is hindi over there. If somebody see you and realized that your Indian start talking to you in Hindi or Punjabi that doesn’t means they don’t have standards. Come on people standards are not judged by the languages but yes your manners do judge you. Anyways there are so called people who have standards and all that because of English. No offence to anybody
@IshaandDeepak

You got me all wrong Raman! I am a proud Indian and love my language. What I meant is people here are not following the basic rules of keeping the country clean. You should see what happens in Indian events & some Indian dominated cities here! I have personally seen some Indians trash the place, pass derogatory comments for females, drive cars rashly without thinking that they can get someone killed and a lot more. I have a problem with people who do that not with people who speak Hindi

The dress she wears speaks volumes. Her "girls" are showing ~ no class! Speaking English is not the only criterion for class, how you dress, carry yourself with dignity & elegance is class.

Couldn’t hold myself providing my response to all these demeaning comments thrown towards that lady. Being a girl myself, it’s feels so sad seeing people talking about other persons clothing choices. In particular this case, this girl looking all descent. This is how you people see your own mothers and sisters I think. Such a shame. And secondly somehow this lady I think triggered someone who is Punjabi himself. She is absolutely right how disgusting some desi people are here in Canada. Well More Power to you Girl.

The lady’s attitude is classist towards other people. If you are doing an IT job(so called skilled labour) and someone else is doing blue collar job doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve canada. If someone breaks a rule than the authorities should manage the situation, if they are allowing it that means it’s legal so maybe you should not judge people having fun at dundas square as a mess or illiterate. As a person you should not think yourself as “cream” or “filtered out immigrant” and low of those hardworking Punjabi speaking immigrants. I like the rest of the conversation as I also have been somewhat similar journey and there initiatives of starting YT channels or content creation parallel with regular jobs is commendable. 1:13:45

First of all thank you so much for taking out time to share your views on this podcast. We really do appreciate your feedback. I would like to apologize if I came across as classist but all I was trying to point out are the Ill mannered people! No disrespect to any one with any class jobs and how could I be disrespectful to them when I started my career by washing cars in the University Garage? Please know that our views are based on the experience we had with people who look at women and pass derogatory comments in a restaurant, people who would throw trash on the road, spit on the road, drive cars by over speeding with extreme loud music and honking. This is what I meant 😊

You are right because everything has your social security number. For Uber she needs drivers license and SSN registered. For car wash and other jobs you can work under the table and get paid by cash only. Watched it for the first time. The content and communication style justified the name Candid Cast. So far as guests Deepak and Isha are concerned , they have shared their perespective, to whom many of us may not agree. They have also been candid in sharing the pros and cons of both situations - living in the US and immigrating to Canada under compulsion. Finally, it's their perception and choice and no need for anyone to get offended, as observed in some of the comments. The best outcome of the discussion - one needs to keep evolving! Would love to hear more experiences from such high calibre couple. At the same time very disappointed hearing her comment full of bigotry towards Punjabis. I don't think one should ever judge someone's standard on the basis of language rather you should try master an act of accepting people without judging them hastily. When you say it's not the cream that Canada gets from immigration. You need to redefine cream as Canada doesn't only need professionals but also require lots of blue collar workers and labourers whom you might think as low standard but they are just different from you and makes as much as contribution as us to the growth of Canada.

As they were staying in the outskits of GTA they had problem in socialising and not having a car added more helplessness in their situation. Moreover, as both have not worked here (i meaning doing US remote jobs) they were unable to create friends. I also thing the couple still does'nt have kinds, so they are feeling free to move back again.

Hello folks, enjoyed your conversation. Really wonderful. I am from Vancouver B.C. As you said that it's really hard to find good friends it is very true. But I am the kind of a person who would always be there if I become someone's friend. I did help a friend whom I had met when I was looking for a tutor for my daughter. Although he had to move to Eastern Canada, but he still says," Aap jaisa friend milna bahut mushkil hai." I was there for him any time he needed help from finding students for him for tutoring or even help him shampoo his carpet because he was on a limited income. The problem in Vancouver is that it is very difficult to find good educated people (no offense to anyone please but that is my personal experience). Most professionals move to the U.S. because in Canada very rarely people get a job in their field. At the moment I am living in India due to some problem(property matter). But I won't mind sharing my Instagram with you. May be in future you can visit Vancouver and I will help you in every possible way. Take care!

Quite interesting talk. Only couple of areas where I felt that she shouldn't have said that. I've been to many countries. Not everyone responds in English everytime. So, if someone replies in punjabi, that's ok bud. May be that's the best they can do. May be they don't know english. Don't be too offended. Enjoy Canada. The best place on planet. 🇨🇦

It was a very informative video. Went through the whole video. How do you think about Health Care between US and Canada? How about life safety (gun laws) between the 2 countries ?
@IshaandDeepak
@IshaandDeepak 8 ай бұрын
That’s a million dollar question 😊. Let me break it down. Regarding the Health Care, it’s free(to say) in Canada but what people don’t know is that you also have to wait crazy hours if you go to an emergency, getting a family doctor is a nightmare! We have been in Canada for more than 3 years now and still haven’t been able to get a family doctor as they don’t take new patients. If you want to get a surgery done in Canada, you have to wait for years before it’s your turn. On the contrary in US, you have to pay to get a medical insurance BUT you don’t have to wait in crazy lines or suffer to get a specialist. Now about the gun violence, it’s absolutely try and scary when it comes to US, with God’s grace we have never been a victim of that but that doesn’t mean that we are not scared about it. It’s a very big issue in US, all you can do is to avoid crowded places or shady neighborhoods. I hope this gives you some insight🙂

Not sure how was she doing 5 jobs as a student, legally you can work 20 hours a week when on student visa and that only on campus jobs. Also I thought when she said 25-30 thousand dollars was actually in rupees. Others It’s almost 1000$ a day which is approx 100$ an hours considering 10 hour work day.

Everyone has their reasons for choosing or not choosing country, but only one criticism of your podcast is that the lady said when you go to Younge-Dundas Square you do not see any white people but “others.” The others are as Canadian as white people. Gore don’t have monopoly over this land. Everyone here was once a immigrants, it’s just that Gore who are mostly of British, Scottish and Irish descent came here a couple hundred years before the coloured immigrants. It doesn’t mean they are the original people of the land.

No need for a derogatory comment. That was a mistake. I meant a week and that too some weeks only because not all weeks I had the jobs. If you heard the whole podcast, I corrected myself by saying I earned just enough to pay my bills (living with 3 girls in one bedroom) and pay my tuition. Also regarding the car, again, if you heard it properly I bought it after getting a full time job. Also I started at a well paid job as a Functional Analyst so I could very well afford a 65k car. Not sure what you do but a decent job in US let’s you buy a car worth that money!

I think at this point of time, canada is not a right choice for students. Though they allowed to work fulltime, you will not gain expertize to learn the technology in which you are specialized in. Moresoever all lower level jobs like macdonald etcs is already taken by folks. Students cannot do skilled work. You cannot get jobs in usa with your ur degree. Cannot pay loan. Damn just thinking abt it make it a nonsensicle decision. Usa should be first choice for students since they can earn money first and apply for pr and keep it as a backup.

The lady said she made 15k a month as a student with those part time jobs. First of all this is quite high even and is equivalent of 180k an year. Then she claims she got a huge jump in earning when she got first full time job. So i am assuming it ahould be way higher than 180k annual salary .. so maybe 300k??? Even Google was not paying as much to freshers out of college in 2012. Either she is intentionally exaggerating or cannot calculate well.

@@jaithak7267 Don’t compare 1867 to 1947! India has a burgeoning economy with a thriving job market. It's a hub for IT, finance, and various other industries, providing ample career opportunities. It is by far more affordable in terms of education, healthcare, and cost of living compared to the Canadian economy. You can’t compare the two with massive difference in the way both countries are governed. Ultimately the call is based on one's personal goals and priorities. 🇮🇳
