Leaving Cert Higher Level Maths 2021 Paper 2 Question 1

Question 1 from paper 2 of the leaving cert higher level maths 2021 is a probability question. We have to find the probability that a certain number of players on a team are left footed when given the probability of one player being left footed. We use the binomial theorem for this. In part b it is extended to find the probability that less than three players are left footed and finally in part c there is a further restriction that the goalkeeper is definitely left footed.

Wow, way easier than compared to mocks … Nevertheless , very well explained ! On a side note , since the concessions , is it safe to leave out the chapter of geometry ? It simply never clicked with me , and I’d much rather revise all other ones rather than try to do those chapters so close to the LC
