Leaving Cert Higher Level Maths 2021 Paper 2 Question 2

Question 2 from paper 2 of the leaving cert higher level maths 2021 is a coordinate geometry question. In part a we input unknown coordinates in algebraic form into the equation of a line to find the unknown k.
In part b we use the perpendicular distance from a point to a line formula.
In part c we use ratios of side in triangles to find the coordinates of points on the triangle.

Here is a suggestion for you. As an Irish student, I'm truthfully kind of disappointed with the standard of mathematics in our country, especially with the introduction of project maths replacing concepts like vectors, matrices etc with more everyday stuff.
