I have so much respect for both of you , by taking the cat with you, says so much about you both . I lived as an expat for well over 40yrs and many times I saw pets abandoned with weak excuses from their owners , willing to enjoy the companionship at the time but not to include their pets on a onward journey, completely, selfish and thoughtless behaviour. To be honest, we always just try to do the right thing, it's definitely a lot more difficult for our journey and costs us more money but at the end of the day what is the right choice should always be the only choice. Happy holidays!

Sabaidee! I only subscribed a couple of weeks ago. And your video just appeared now while I was actually searching other things like ukulele tutorials. This cat adventure was becoming a cliff hanger. Poor scared baby. I hope she's alright now (he?) I will watch more of your videos to learn Anyway what really got me about this video was that you decided to walk to Thailand 😆 I've crossed the friendship bridge 4 times by bus. This was reminding me of things I have done while traveling though. "Oh I'll just walk it. I like walking. I can do it. Wow how far is this? Argh my bags are feeling heavy. Oh wrong way go back"😄😄 Laos has such a lay back feel that it doesn't really prepare you for the rest of the world. One time I was searching for some place while riding a bicycle in Vientiane and I nearly rode to the airport from town. No-one ever understood when I asked directions. Another time I went around and around and around on my bicycle looking for a particular vegan restaurant and phoning them. I was starting to lose my cool. To lose the Lao laid back way. And in that state I rode on the wrong side of the road (because I'm Aussie and we drive on the left side) and got knocked off my bike at an intersection by a hit and run motorbike. But I wasn't hurt and someone helped me and life got better after that when I realised my mistake and that I was protected. I felt gratitude Anyway there have been other times I thought I could walk a distance in other countries. I'll tune in to your next video now. Also your monk friend reminded me of why we miss the Asian countries we visited and why not all our associates can understand that. It's partly because of hospitality. The people who made you feel welcome in their country. So now I'll say Sawadee ka because you're in Thailand 🙏🌷

Very nice to see your cat with you as well. Btw, only kindly FYI in case someone hasn’t mentioned yet, “Chai” as pronounced really means “boy, man, male, or even yes” for Thai meaning. I remember in one of your earlier videos you mentioned when first adopted Chai, the name means “heart” in Lao. If so, then technically in Lao, it has to be pronounced “Jai” with the “J” sound, not the “ch”😊. Good luck, have fun and keep safe in Thailand! Oh Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from the West!
