ask your parents why they are not allowed to practice actual church doctrine. Plural marriage was ok for your past relatives but not for current? Or did your past relatives live in Sin? Can't change scripture to match man's law. This 1 part of the LDS church should make everyone pick up their heads and ask questions. But to ignore the history of the LDS church is the same thing as accepting it was doctrine. Ask why the church doesn't teach salvation by Grace. Ask who is behind the curtains. The LDS church has more in common with the Wizard of Oz than Jesus or God. How does one not see this?

@@TheDhoff13 The religion is real. His answer wasn't as kind as Jesus would want it. And we cannot save anyone that is not willing to learn to be close to the Lord and to live a life that is pleasing to him. Everybody will have to decide to follow Jesus or Satan. That is the only choice we have. And the consequences can be grave. It is the decision between heaven and hell.

I know that Jesus cannot lie and he keeps his promises when he said that he would restore his Church in the last days. That church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is the only Church that Jesus is using to bring to pass the end time fulfillment of Bible prophecies or promises. No other Christian denomination has ever claimed the fulfillment of these prophesies. Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. The fulfillment of prophecy Amos 8:11 ¶Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: Then there is a restoring of his word Act 3: 21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, The Angel had to go to some one. Who? Joseph Smith is the only person that has received an Angel with the everlasting gospel fulfillment Matt:16 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Ephesians 4: 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; Micah 4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: Matt. 17: 11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. 12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. 13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist. John the Baptist prepared the people when Jesus first started teaching the gospel and he also help prepared Jesus second coming. ( D&C 13: 1)( JSH 72) Mal.3: 1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts. Who is this messenger? Who will prepare Jesus’s second coming? What temple? Mal. 4: 5 ¶Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. (Who will Elijah go to, this has to happen before Jesus comes?) (D&C 110:13) Fulfillment Isa. 29: 11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: 12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned. (JS History 64) Fulfillment 13 ¶Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: (Jesus fulfilled this prophecy when he talked to Joseph Smith in the grove JS History 19) 14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid. (This is being fulfilled in which you can read it in the D& C 4: 1, 6:1, 11:1, 12:1, 14:1, Matthew 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. The Book of Mormon is a fulfillment of Bible prophecy, it is the second witness of Jesus Christ. Ezekiel 37:16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: Ezekiel 37:19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. Fulfillment The Bible and the B of M are one in mine hand. Revelation 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. Has this scripture been fulfilled ? How will you know? How important do you think it is for all of Jesus ‘s prophecies from the Bible to be fulfilled. They are not fulfilled in the Catholic Church. Born again Church, Lutheran Church, Protestant Church not even the Exmormon Church has claimed any fulfillment of these examples I have given you. Sooner or later you will have to make a choice between accepting The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints is the true Church that Jesus is using his Church or you can ignore Jesus and his promises and one of his promises is forgiveness oops do you really want do ignore this one.

You wrote way too many scriptures to prove absolutely nothing..and certainly didn't prove that Christ's church or the gospel would ever be in need of any sort of restoration..and as matter of fact Christ did say that not even the gates of hell could ever prevail against His church...so much long winded mormon deception when Christ said that He is the life and way, and that no one comes to the father but through Him..The only thing that Joseph smith restored was the veil in the temple that was torn in two when Christ died hence restoring the arrogant Pharisees who boasted about being able to keep the law without Christ's grace.Joseph Smith did boast about being able to keep the church together better than Christ was able to...those are the words of the devil hoping to exalt himself above God..as a matter of fact the mormon church is the serpent that promised godhood to Adam and eve..your sacred underwear with masonic symbols is yellow and stinks..thanks for your time just the same..

If you read my reply to you, you will see it sys believe, believe believe, not earn. You are on a dangerous road if you do that. that is evil work, because you are doing it for YOU. so YOU can get something out of it, so YOU can be saved, not because you love God. It takes a weak and unstable, confused and vulnerable person to leave the Mormon Church. There are plenty of them. They usually leave after a few years. When they discover that this faith will actually require something of them, they start looking for reasons to leave. It is very difficult to live the Mormon lifestyle. Whether you believe it or not...it's a religion that demands active participation and some weak bricks are not cut out for it. It's OK with me if they leave. It's not OK with me if they come on these sites and bash their former faith in an attempt to feel better about leaving. Leave the church and then leave it alone! Why is that so hard for some people? They need to go on with atheism or that shiny new Evangelical sect that will tell them they are saved without having to do anything and spoon feed them the sick pablum of the trinity.

Hey John... If you are so happy with your faith and confident that what you believe in is right, then why are you so bitter and angry? People who are leaving the mormon church are leaving because they aren't being fed spiritually and they have a conflict with their conscious. You have to recognize that your faith isn't something that you are told or something that you read. Your faith is something that you feel. For example, if GOD is Love and Love is something that you feel, how do you bridge that gap and make the connection?

+John Lee Sometimes it takes someone admitting they are a weak and unstable and confused and vulnerable person to come to the end of themselves and have their mouths stopped by the law! Then you can finally see that you can't do it no matter how self righteous you have attempted to be, and the Only Way, Truth, and Life is Jesus Christ and His Finished Works for salvation received as a FREE GIFT by Grace through Faith! Jesus came to save sinners not the righteous; meaning those who think they already are righteous by their own works. Jesus came to save sick, weak, filthy sinners who have nothing to offer but Faith in His blood sacrifice. His suffering and death for our forgiveness, His burial, and on the third day His resurrection for our justification! It's called the Gospel and it has zero to do with self righteous religious works! Not all the Jews were cut out to be Pharisees either, but Jesus has even saved some of them. Like the Apostle Paul for instance. I would encourage you to read and believe God's Word as revealed through Paul. A former Christian persecuting and murdering, self righteous works salvation Pharisee, changed by God's Grace through Faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ for salvation believer and preacher. Here are few verses that would be good to start with: 1Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8-10, all of Romans 4. www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Corinthians+15%3A1-4%2C+Ephesians+2%3A8-10%2C+Romans+10%3A9-10%2C+John+3%3A13-18%2C+Romans+4&version=KJV

cdowis Mormonism clearly teaches that by obedience to Mormon doctrines, ordinances, principles, a person does work their way to the third heaven where God is. Your statement is a veiled lie. Faith without works is dead has nothing to do with how we are saved or how and why we get to live with God in heaven. James is encouraging already saved BELIEVERS of the Gospel to live their faith. We are saved unto good works, but not by any of our good works. Salvation includes Eternal Life WITH God WHERE HE IS. To live apart from Him in some lower kingdom is what unsaved people already have. It is death. There is no Eternal Life outside of Jesus Christ.

Joseph Smith was a freemason, and he incorporated masonic rituals into the Mormon temple rituals. Those freemasons are bad news. Other false prophets who founded false churches (who are also freemasons), are: Ellen G. White (Seventh Day Adventism) and Charles Taze Russell (Jehovah's Witnesses). There is enough leaven in these so called churches to redirect them from God's Truth. People need to study the Scriptures for themselves, before joining any church. The Bereans were not perfect by any means, but Paul did commend them and call them noble, for searching the Scriptures for themselves to find out if what Paul was saying to them indeed aligned with what the Bible said. God's words have not been lost, regardless of what Islam teaches, or any other self-prescribed "prophet" of God who claims to have found the lost truth. Though errors do exist, in the denominations, God's truth is not lost. All people should abide in the Scriptures, and never put the teachings of men or women, popes...etc.... above the words in the Bible. I've never run into any pastor who has everything right, nor do we have everything right - but everyone should always be learning and growing in the truth, and casting out traditions and teachings we have grown up with or adopted along with way which do not align with God's Truth. We all have some errors to deal with, and if we are wise we will deal with them, and let God's truth and wisdom correct us.

Yes it says there is no marriage ceremony in heaven So marriage has to take place on earth. Matt. 16: 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. The Apostles were given the authority and power to bind those marriages on earth and so they would be bound in heaven

+Cache Nielson (You might want to share these Biblical scriptures with your wife.) You are be grateful to be a Gentile now, but the Bible makes it clear that you and all Gentiles who reject the gospel will have all of eternity to regret it. The Apostle Paul explained that Gentiles are “without Christ” and “strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope.” They are “without God in the world,” and all because they are “aliens from the commonwealth of Israel” (Ephesians 2:11-12). Ephesians 2:12, “That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world.” Paul stated in 1 Corinthians 10:20 that “the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils and not to God.” The Romans to whom Paul wrote were Gentiles before they partook of the gospel, but they then “received the Spirit of adoption,” which is what Paul stated in Romans 8:15, because they had been adopted into the house of Israel. Paul also told them that the Lord had said, “I will call them my people, which were not my people . . . . And it shall come to pass that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God” (Romans 9:25-26). After accepting the gospel, the Ephesians were, as Paul stated in Ephesians 2:19, “no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God” because they were now numbered with the saints and the household of God in the “commonwealth of Israel.” The Savior prayed to our Father in Heaven “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one” (John 17:21-22), and when God rebuked Israel in Isaiah chapter 48, he stated, “Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction. For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another” (Isaiah 48:10-11). Jesus clearly stated that he received his glory from our Heavenly Father, and Jesus will not give his glory to anyone except Israel, which is why the "saints" in Paul's letters were no longer Gentiles but were numbered among Israel. So, there you have it. Christ stated in John 17 that he received his Father’s glory and gives it to the faithful “saints” in Israel, and none except those numbered among Israel will receive his glory. Being a former member, you know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the long-prophesied gathering of Israel. You can partake of the true gospel of Jesus Christ and be a fellow citizen with the saints and a fellow citizen of the household of God, or you can remain a Gentile and harden your heart against the truth. The choice is yours, but make no mistake about it; you have been warned and you are without excuse.

Mormons are here saying people leave because it's hard to follow rules... I used to be Mormon and left because I found true happiness through the one true God. That's where true joy is. God is so good and these poor people who have been deceived may never know true happiness. Also the lds members should be taught about the book of Abraham and they might see how much of a false prophet Joseph Smith was.

I have a weird relationship with "the church" because it made me who I am in lots of ways. (strong family values, morals etc.) and made some of the greatest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Yet it also causes irreversible emotional damage and destroys people as well. All this while pushing provably false beliefs might I add!! It's easy for me to look at the church with pity now when I see their plight because I'm not the same powerless victim under their thumb anymore. I see it for what it is. I'm a guy who not only doesn't believe their crap anymore, but I can PROVE it's crap. So they have no power over me. Interesting how that happens. And yet when I did believe...they wielded that power over me relentlessly...being the only true church and I had to do everything they said or I wouldn't get to heaven. It was emotionally devastating. Now...I look at that as evil. But make no mistake...the church may try to shine it's positive traits when the chips are down for them and people are waking up to it false truth claims, but there was a time when they used their emotional mind control and beliefs coupled with fear to manipulate people for YEARS AND YEARS to great gain on their end. They'd STILL be doing it today if they could...and with some people they ARE still doing it. They don't let people read about the issues etc. It's amazing what people who use the fear of God can do. And yet...it's not all bad...that's the crazy thing. It's more nuanced than that. But...my point is..there are some really great things...but there are some very cultic traits here too. Mormonism is blind faith..just pay, pray, and obey...Christianity is more of a logical outworking of faith. Don't pay if you don't want...it's grace. And you can ask hard questions about your faith in Christ. Prophecy in the bible alone is a huge to me. The book of Daniel, read Isaiah 53..which was written 700 years before Jesus was even born. You tell me who we're talking about there. And in Christianity we have JESUS! WOOOO..I LOVE JESUS! God who became man to die for our sins if we believe. We can't earn it...we just have to receive it and believe...trust. The Mormonism Jesus is the brother of Lucifer who was literally made by this separate father who has a body of flesh and bones and had sex with Mary. Ya know what? Let's just stop right there because I'll be here all day just showing the differences between biblical Christianity and Mormonism. Bottom line...They're NOT the same. But in simple terms...Believe in Jesus...And RUN from the LDS church and leaning on your own goodness to get you to heaven with some hand shakes. They're GREAT people..just....wrong. I left the church when I was like 17 and always regretted not going into the temple and knowing the secrets and all...and had a fear that it MIGHT be true...even knowing about a lot of the problems...and yet...that's the power of mind control. But now after all of these years I look back and I'm so grateful that I didn't go to all of that trouble to see the inside of a building and make a foolish sacrifice only to find a dead end.

it is your experience you were mind controlled. Same thing happens at most institutions. If you dont go to your classes and do the homework you wont pass the tests and graduate. Its not what is taught sometimes its what our minds say to ourselves that can be unhealthy. Like if we are taught we are the only true church your mind will tell you that means all other religions are false and that is not necessarily true! It is possible that their are many sound religions including LDS that for some or more importantly for You is not the best choice. Not because its not true but because it makes you miserable. Going to Harvard would be hella hard but the curriculum might make you want to jump off a cliff doesnt make it a bad or false university just not the right one for You. I do not judge any person for wanting to get off the path of any religion. I believe in spiritual diversity myself. Coming from an LDS mindset it is extremely hard to let yourself be free to explore and experience anything else because your taught this is the only way to heaven but it feels like Hell to Me! There are still things i love and enlighten my mind those I will keep but I also found profound truth power and love in The buddhists and many spiritual groups. They all enrich my life. I do not have to choose one path one religion i choose me!!! I choose joy! I dont respect when one needs to publically speaks against any group but shares what made them happier what gave them Joy. Life is such an individual game we are not a cookie cuter thank God we have millions of choices and good for you choosing what is a better fit

Sorry you went thru this, everything. I am from divorced parents & a convert since 17, now 41. I won't tell you how you should live or feel. For me this is the only true church, I don't live the cookie cutter life & no one should(that's where things go wrong), Heavenly Father doesn't want that. My relationship with Jesus Christ is just that. My daily relationship personal & so special. It has not been easy, but I am so grateful that my testimony has only become more clear & stronger of this being the only true church. As I am studying the old testament daily, it bare testimony that the Book of mormon is true & of God. I pray you continue in His love & peace.....

Old testament tells the history of the Jews and prophesies the coming of Jesus. I don't know if you've gotten that far yet, but a lot was happening in old testament time. Jesus and the Father are one. Jesus makes that abundantly clear. I would encourage you to read the new testament as if you were a child reading it for the very first time. You may think I'm trying to lead you astray from what you've always believed, but I promise you, if you spend some time in the new testament just simply getting to know Jesus for who He truly is, you'll see that He loves you just as you are already and there is nothing you can do to earn God's favor. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast." Pay close CLOSE attention to what the apostle, Paul, wrote to the Galatians in chapter 1:6-9: "I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel- which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!" Jesus is LORD! He is God in the flesh! If you are believing any other gospel than that of Jesus, the REAL Jesus that is, then you are believing a lie. I care about you and I am trying to show you the truth. Only by putting your faith in Christ alone, relying on Him and only Him (not your own goodness or works) can a person be saved! Any other gospel that says that you have to do something in addition to what Jesus did, is a false gospel. We are NOT saved "after all that we can do". That is Mormon doctrine, but God's holy word is the truth you SHOULD be listening to. We are saved by grace through FAITH ALONE. A free gift of God. If we could possibly earn God's favor or become holy and pleasing to God BEFORE receiving grace, then Christ died in vain. Just before Jesus died on the cross, He cried out "It is finished", and the Greek word He used was, "Tetelestai", which LITERALLY means, "paid in full". Jesus paid it ALL. There is no work on the planet that you can do that will bridge the gap between you and God. The leap you are trying to make to earn God's favor is wider than the widest part of the Grand Canyon! Please please please! I beg you, I challenge you to put down everything you think you know and just read the new testament as if you were a child reading it for the very first time. Jesus loves you!

Even though I am a Mormon and will stay a Mormon I really appreciate your video and the fact that you didn't bash the church and bash Mormons(minus saying that it was a man religion and not Gods religion but that really wasn't bashing honestly). People believe what they want to believe and everyone believes in different things, I get that totally. I'm sorry you had such a crappy experience and hope maybe one day you'll visit my ward and see that every church teaches differently, though the church is always teaching about Jesus Christ and His Father, our Heavenly Father, not everyone listens with the intention of truly listening and not everyone hears the same thing from the same talk. I want you to know you are always welcomed here in my ward at any time(in Lebanon). Again you are a great person with an amazing heart and kind intentions and respect for others and I truly appreciate the sweet approach you have taken in this video and hope you have a blessed life man.

Ummm... For such as a random person you are and such a random attack that is(for no reason as well) People believe what they want to believe that is why we live in America. Jesus Christ was Jewish so why do you think that the Catholic church is the ONE AND ONLY true church? Also what has the "lawsuits" stuff have anything to do with religion and God? God's law is above all government law and so I don't see where this fits into anything I said in my original comment. I don't think that God put His Son Jesus Christ on earth to have us servants and children of God hate and bash and belittle other children of God. So why must you TRY to bash and hurt me so disgustingly and revoltingly? Why must you try hurt other people to try to "defend"(though no one was speaking horrible or badly on anyone elses religion so there is nothing to defend) and speak unkindly and un-Christ like? Also it is REALLY hard to read your hate comment because of so many grammar errors.

How are us "MORMON women sick with jealousy"? I know I am not jealous of anyone else for to be jealous is to be wanting of what others have and you don't have or can't have which against the ten commandments. We are not the "church of joseph smith" we are the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. How are you a full grown adult that is married when you feel the need to TRY to demolish other women that isn't your woman? You seem to not realize that the number one sin is pride. You in one sentence is a man full of pride. The way you are trying to disrespect me is doing nothing to me at all so you can try all you want to hurt me and belittle me but it shall do nothing to me emotionally spiritually mentally and physically. God loves you still as I love you still even though you try to speak cruel like unto me and other women, Mormon or not because you said ONLY CATHOLIC women are beautiful and Carrie Underwood isn't Catholic so how is your wife beautiful if she looks like Carrie and she's not Catholic? This isn't me saying your wife is ugly or not at all in any way. Your anger is overwhelming for anyone at this point. How can you try to hurt me when you don't know me at all and only think of yourself and your self gratification. So you talk about your wife and her belief so does that mean that you have the same belief as her? I know that her belief isn't teaching of belittling and trying to harm and hurt others no matter what teachings they believe in. So why are you? I haven't bashed you in any way or form and still haven't and won't. But I still ask you why are you TRYING to hurt me and bash me for my belief, though I still respect all other beliefs including your own? To call me a "tranny" is to show me you are a man full of hate pride and self loathing. I am sorry you feel that way about Mormon women, though it is not true in any way or form. Hope you have a blessed day. Also last thing you should know! My best friend is a Catholic and she recently moved back to Connecticut and I love her and miss her so much and she misses me as well for we are really close friends and I have never heard any of my other Mormon friends speak of anything even related to jealousy, though she is beautiful and gorgeous in all ways so am I and my other friends. Thanks for your hatful speech and words of evil said unto me. Hope you have a great day.

The head of the church is Jesus Christ and his Father, God. Joseph is not a pervert and did nothing to gain money or power. The church is held up by its members and doesn't earn money from anyone or try to make profit like other churches. So to be a good person is to be a Catholic girl? What do I have to get over? Your rudeness? Your inability to be kind in what you say? Your inability to realize you are full of pride? Carrie Underwood is Christian if you never watched American Idol and her other videos stating her faith as a Christian. Why are you standing up for "your" women when no one is putting them down? All women are beautiful in their own ways and that's how it's suppose to be no matter what "you men" say. I go to church at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm glad you have something in common with other revolting men as yourself because obviously we don't seem to. :) I'm not copying anyone. I am just being my self and telling you the truth. God bless you sweetheart. Love you. Hope you have a blessed day. I have to leave now because I have to go to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

I just like to make you aware of something said in Psalms and as you might recall the Pope's like to kiss statues: but what does scripture say in many places..here is one place Psalms 115 4 Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men’s hands. 5They have mouths, but they do not speak; They have eyes, but they do not see; 6They have ears, but they do not hear; They have noses, but they do not smell; 7They have hands, but they do not handle; They have feet, but they do not walk; They make no sound through their throat. 8The ones who make them, shall become like them -...................this whole idol worship does not speak favorabily of the RC.....Mormons are not much better with their self righteous way of presuming with zero evidence to make an image of an Angle and put this image on top of the Church....and both churches are guilty of having changed the eternal Laws of Sabbath ....and have not corrected the false Son's name and have no re established correctly the father's name.

Basically, we are here to discover who we really are and then to manifest and share that ultimate greatness which awaits TO awaken from within the depths of each of our lives. When we start to do this it’s will bring a whole new meaning and richness to everything - like the difference a baby bird experiences after it has cracked the shell of its egg and flown into the wonders, life becomes so much greater to us and its obstacles become challenges to overcome, rather than problems to drag us down. And even greater is the ability that we bring forth to help others to do the same. I experienced this after someone told me to chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo. If you have seen the movie of Tina Turners life story ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’ , you will have seen how she changed her dreaded circumstances around by chanting these words - just as many millions of other people have done and are doing. If you are interested to know more please read on… Years ago I was lead to believe that to practice Nichiren’s Buddhism correctly, one had to attend meetings and belong to an organisation. Nowadays I’ve come to understand that anyone, regardless of whether they become a ‘member’ of a group or not, can benefit from their own personal practice. The reason for this is that the Law of myoho-renge-kyo represents the identity of what some now refer to as the ‘unified field of all consciousnesses’. In other words, it’s the essence behind all existence and non-existence, the ultimate creative force behind planets, stars, nebulae, people, animals, trees, fish, birds and all phenomena, manifest or latent. All matter and intelligence is simply waves or ripples manifesting to and from this core source. Consciousness (enlightenment) is itself the true creator of everything that is, ever was and ever will be, right down to the minutest particles of dust, each being an individual ripple or wave. The big difference between chanting ‘Nam-myoho-renge-kyo’ (Nam is like a password to our deepest inner-self) and most conventional prayers is that instead of depending on a middle man to connect us to our state of enlightenment, we’re able to do it ourselves by tapping directly into it by way of self-produced sound vibration. On the subject of ‘what or who is God?’, when we compare the concept of ‘God’, as a separate entity that is forever watching down on us, to Nichiren’s teachings, the true omnipotence, omniscience and omnipresence of what most people call ‘God’ is our enlightenment, which exists nowhere else but within us. When the disciples asked Jesus where the Kingdom of God is, didn’t he tell them that it was within them? Some say that ‘God’ is an entity that can never be seen. I think that the vast amount of information that is constantly being conveyed via electromagnetic waves gives us proof of how an invisible state of what many call ‘God’ could actually exist. It’s widely known that certain data being relayed by way of electromagnetic waves has the potential to help bring about extraordinary and powerful effects, including instant global awareness of something or mass emotional reaction. As well as many other things, it’s also common knowledge that these waves can be used to detonate a bomb or to even enable NASA to control the movements of a robot as far away as the Moon or Mars. However, none of this is possible without a receiver to decode the information that is being transmitted. Without the receiver, the information would remain impotent. In a similar way, it’s very important for us to have our receiver switched on, so that we can activate a clear and precise understanding of our life, all other life and who we and all else that exists truly is. Chanting ‘Nam-myoho-renge-kyo’ allows us to achieve this, because it lets us to reach into the core of our enlightenment and switch it on. That’s because, as I mentioned before, the sound vibration of ‘myoho-renge-kyo’ represents the combination of the three major laws that underlie all existence. ‘Myoho’ represents the Law of latency and manifestation (Nature), and consists of two alternating states. One state of ‘myo’ is where everything in life that’s not obvious to us exists. This includes our stored memories when we’re not thinking about them, our hidden potential and inner emotions whenever they’re not being expressed, our desires, our fears, our wisdom, happiness, karma, and more importantly, our enlightenment. The other state, ‘ho’, is where everything in Life exists whenever it becomes obvious to us, such as when a thought pops up from our memory, whenever we experience or express our emotions, or whenever a good or bad effect comes forth from our karma. When anything becomes apparent, it simply means that it has come out of the state of ‘myo’ (dormancy/latency) and into a state of ‘ho’ (manifestation). It’s the difference between consciousness and unconsciousness, being awake or asleep, or knowing and not knowing something. The second law, ‘renge’, governs and controls the functions of ‘myoho’ - ‘ren’ meaning cause and ‘ge’ meaning effect. These two laws, ‘myoho’ and ‘renge’, work together simultaneously and underlie all spiritual and physical existence. The final and third part of the tri-combination, ‘kyo’, is what allows the law ‘myoho’ to integrate with the law ‘renge’. It’s the great, invisible thread of energy that fuses and connects together all Life and matter, as well as the past, present and future. It is often termed the Universal Law of Communication. Perhaps it could even be compared to the ‘string theory’ that some scientists now suspect exists. Just as our body cells, thoughts, feelings and all else are constantly fluctuating within us, everything in the world around us and beyond is also in a constant state of flux, in accordance with these three laws. In fact, more things are going back and forth between the two states of ‘myo’ and ‘ho’ in a single moment than it would ever be possible for us to calculate or describe. And it doesn't matter how big, small, important or trivial anything may appear to be, everything that’s ever existed in the past, exists now, or will exist in the future, exists only because of the workings of 'myoho-renge-kyo'. These three laws are also the basis of the four fundamental forces and if they didn't function, neither we nor anything else could go on existing. Simply put, all forms of existence, including the seasons, day and night, birth, death and so on, are moving forward in an ongoing flow of continuation, rhythmically reverting back and forth between the two states of ‘myo’ and ‘ho’ in accordance with ‘renge’ and by way of ‘kyo’. Even stars are dying and being reborn again in accordance with the workings of ‘myoho-renge-kyo’. ‘Nam’ is like a password or key; it allows us to reach deep within our life and fuse with or become one with ‘myoho-renge-kyo’. On a more personal basis, nothing ever happens by chance or coincidence, it’s the causes that we’ve made in our past, or are presently making, that determine how these laws function uniquely in each of our lives from moment to moment, as well as our environment. By facing east, in harmony with the direction that the Earth turns and rhythmically chanting ‘Nam-myoho-renge-kyo’ repeatedly for a minimum of ten minutes daily, any of us can gain actual proof of its effects in our life. By building up a force from within, it allows us to pierce through even the thickest layers of our karma and reach directly into the ultimate wisdom of our and all other life. Unlike the fantasy of a magic wand to make our problems vanish, chanting ‘Nam-myoho-renge-kyo’ awakens our innate wisdom and brings to the surface our hidden potential, a much clearer realisation and understanding of our good and bad karma, and positive ways that we can both cope with and change our negative circumstances into positive ones. It brings forth the wisdom that can free us from the ignorance and stupidity that is preventing us from accepting and being proud of who we truly are, regardless of our race, colour, gender or sexual preference. It also allows us to see and understand things outside of ourselves more clearly and, by way of the electromagnetic forces of which we are all a part, helps us to connect with, or draw towards us, any external circumstances or help that we need. Proof of this effect soon becomes obvious to anyone who chants ‘Nam-myoho-renge-kyo’ on a regular basis. Of course, the more sincerely we chant, the more powerful and faster its effect will be.

Mormonism is an American version of Islam and then some. Like Islam, the Mormons reject the Christian doctrine of justification by faith, [Heb. 10:38, Hab. 2:4, Gal. 3:11, Phil. 3:9, Rom.1:17]. Since that doctrine cannot subsist in isolation from the core teachings of the Christian religion, we would suggest that the Mormon Church finally embrace justification by faith; for unless it does Mormonism will remain what it has always been; a sect that is Christian in name only. Mormonism has more in common with Hermetecism and Egyptology than with Christianity, The god of the Mormon Church does in fact bear a striking resemblance to Hermes, the name the Greeks gave to the Egyptian Thoth. Wonder of wonders the Mormon deity is not omnipresent. And not only is he younger than the cosmos, a product of the same, he even has a harem with which he can occupy himself on his own planet. In a word Mormonism is an American mythology. Just like Islam the Mormons presented the world with a book that would offset the importance of the Bible. However, as far as documents go the oft touted Book of Mormon has fallen on hard times. This is the information age where fact checking is just a mouse click away. Purported to be an ancient scroll written on brass plates and translated supernaturally by their founding prophet, the Mormon Book of Mormon has become a source of embarrassment to thinking Mormons. You can't read the Book of Mormon without realizing that it is little more than a tawdry imitation of the Bible, and about as reliable as the ravings of Nostradamus. Even when it quotes the Bible it does so with a motive. The challenge when reading it is to keep from throwing it out the window. Luther said he would throw 3rd Esdras in the Elbe. Maybe that is where we should deposit the BOM. Better still let us throw it into the Hudson River since the Mormon Church began in upstate New York in what has been called the Burnt Over District. A district which gave birth to a number of lunatic sects with leaders who knew about as much about the Bible as a jack rabbit knows about philosophy. Can anything good come out of a Burnt Over District? SUMMARY: We see do we not that if you couch something in the Bible or some authoritative document that sounds like the Bible, for example the Book of Mormon, or Mary Baker Eddy’s Science and Health, [a remarkable denial of reality], you can sell people on the most outlandish and wild ideas. Especially if like most Americans they read the Bible about as often as they do the Muslim Koran; or if they have been indoctrinated in a certain belief system from their youth upwards. This last is the key to Mormonism’s longevity. The continuance and growth of Mormonism, though not remarkable seeing it began in 1830, is attributable not to proclamation but to procreation, which is followed typically by child brain washing; like the kind practiced by Muslims with the effect that Mormons and Muslims will go on believing what can easily be overruled by common sense.

Rev Cakouros… Though you come to this page with the title of Reverend... that which you speak about my faith is not the truth. Just in your statement "Purported to be an ancient scroll written on brass plates" you already have it wrong! Which tells me that if you can't get the simple things right... then those that require more intelligence... would simply pass you by. It takes greater faith to believe in greater things. You state right up front... “Mormonism is an American version of Islam and then some. An American version of Islam? Islam believes that Jesus Christ was a great prophet… but NOT the son of God. Those who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints do NOT believe Jesus Christ was a great prophet… but believe that Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God. So now you try to again to identify our faith like unto Islam by saying: “Like Islam, the Mormons reject the Christian doctrine of justification by faith” and then quote the following scriptures as what??.. some sort of proof? [Heb. 10:38, Hab. 2:4, Gal. 3:11, Phil. 3:9, Rom.1:17]. Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. Hab 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. Phil 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: So I am not certain what it is you are trying to prove by these scriptures. I know that I do not have a perfect knowledge that Jesus is the Son of God… nor that the Christ atoned for the sins of mankind… but I have faith that he is and he did. And by this faith… I follow him as a disciple… doing those things which he has asked us to do. And by the teachings of the Apostles in Israel that is recorded in the Bible... I have faith that Jesus is the Christ… and as the Bible teaches, I have repented for those things I have done wrong and I have been baptized for the remission of sins by one having the authority to do so. I have had those... who like the Apostles did… lay their hands upon my head for the gift of the Holy Ghost. To do all of this… takes faith. Faith that by doing so, I will be saved in the Kingdom of God. And by continuing to follow words and admonition of Christ… that when the day comes that I stand before God and am judged by him… I will be found to be righteous and be admitted into his presence. Let me share something with you that you may not know. All human beings who currently live on this planet… have been indoctrinated in a certain belief system from their youth upwards. So this is not something you can only pin on those of us who are members of the Lord’s Church. I was born and raised Catholic. And the belief system that there are three Gods wrapped in one… sounds much more like the mythology of the Greek, Romans & Egyptians. Satan has successfully deceived those of the Christian faith that have adopted the false doctrine of the Trinity by changing the true nature of the Godhead into a perversion of the truth… making a God that fits more in line with the mythology of the time in which it was voted upon and agreed to some 300 years after the death of Christ and the Apostles. We now see what happens when mankind is left to his own devices without direct revelation from God. And after the Apostles were all dead… Revelation from God died with them. Your faith is all part of a reformation… a “protest” of the Catholic faith. The birth of the Protestant religion. Man made… and man run. And now out of that protest… comes over 4500 denominations of Christianity. As in the Letter to the Ephesians… for those in the Protestant faith… There is NO One Lord, one faith, one baptism

MrNirom your understanding of the catholic and universal Christian teaching of the Trinity is defective. That’s not to say you are alone in this but it’s one God not three gods. But three persons. Jesus didn’t pray to himself and so on. This is not the place to explain. Simply to say you have rejected a false understanding of what is really the teaching of the one holy catholic and apostolic Church. And yes this includes Bible believing churches. though in impaired union with one another Christ knows his own.

I regret everything that I ever did in the name of Mormonism. I married young and did all the things a good Mormon girl should've. Being married to a returned missionary priesthood holder was like burning in hell everyday. I wish the missionaries had never come to my parents house. Mormonism as a religion is obsessed with itself and cultivates narcissism. Those that don't follow the rules truly live tormented lives and become deeply conflicted. The last few times I've been to church I've found it to be redeculous and lacks any form of spirituality. The importance of God and Jesus are greatly lacking. I am considering resigning from this religion. I do not want my children to grow feeling like I did.

Ashley Doe I totally agree with you. I hate how the religion made me feel. It makes so many people behave terribly. And don’t get me started on what the priesthood does to a man and a marriage. It is awful!!! The lds church has made a loved one of mine beside herself trying to be perfect. It breaks my heart. It’s an evil religion. I wish I found out sooner what a lie Mormonism is. Now I just live my life for Jesus. I tell him that I’m only listening to him and that he needs to be loud when he communicates with me cause the worlds voices are loud. Jesus was all about love. And he stood up to the dominating religion of his day. They hated him. It’s no wonder the religions of our day hate us when oppose them and their controlling ways.

Let me start off by saying, I live in Utah. Home-nest of the mormons. Here, at least from what I have experienced, they are stuck up, offensive to those who don't have faith, I was personally shunned because I was friend to a Catholic kid. I moved. My best friend was Mormon. He begged me every couple of days to go to church with him, to give it a chance, even though I told him I already had. Every time I passed through my school, the extreme mormons glared at me like I was hell-spawn. This happened in my elementry school, and my first middle school. In my second middle, I left my self anonymous. Didn't talk to anyone aside from a kid name Jordan. We got along well, and he was my only new friend after the second move. Eventually, inevitably, he asked if I was Mormon, and almost as if he sensed me about to say no, he said, "Give it a chance. I know there isn't a reason to believe, but sometimes it's easier to believe then to think about the alternative." That was something we agreed on. The alternative, what I still believe, is that upon death, i will cease to exist, there will be nothing. It terrifies me. I would prefer hell, in all honesty. But, every time I thought about it, every time I do, I see less and less of how people rationalize these beliefs, or what excuse they use to cover their blind devotion to what might not, in fact, probably doesn't exist. I think, why would any being with enough power to create the universe give a flying fuck about us? In comparison to the universe, our planet, our solar system, is a speck of dust in the wind. I find myself thinking, what if their is a speck of dust here that contains a universe? Unlikely but, one kid passing by, one drop of rain, could completely destroy that if it existed. All of it, instantly. "Have Faith" they all say. Why should I have faith? The science points in one direction. Nothing after death. What the point of life is? To be good and fallow gods rules? No. To help others in their times if need? No. There is no reason. We have no purpose, and what about when we make contact with another sentient species? I'm sure we will, eventually. Will they have religion? Will they find the concept as blindly stupid as I do? And then I look at the people around me where I live now, they are so blindly religious they can't see their lives in front of them, with stupid and blank expressions on their faces or a slight smile at the thought of heaven, and as soon as they find out i don't believe what they believe? Every missionary in within ten miles will immediately come down upon me. I find missonary's offensive. I really do. Why should I have to get bothered by you every other day in the week because I won't join your overly sized cult? Why should I have to put up with sitting in a chair for two hours over the schedual every Sunday, when I could be home happily rummaging through my fridge for something to eat and writing my books or studying for school? I'm fifteen. I got babtized when I was eight. I regret that now. I just wanted friends, I just wanted to fit in. But fitting in shouldn't consume your whole life. Fitting in shouldn't mean you shoukd not think for yourself and just blindly fallow life and your religion wherever it goes, because in the end you think that maybe god will pluck you from the earth and put you in heaven where you'll live happily ever after like an immortal cow grazing on clouds instead of grass. And where did people get this idea of God? I mean, if he created the universe, where did he come from? Was it just, emptiness, the all of a sudden click POP the almighty is born? And he decided to create the unending universe, but decided afterwards to devote all of his time and loving care to one tiny blue and green mud ball with some advanced lemurs that are filled with nothing but greed for paper that allows them to get new objects? If god existed, why the fuck would I have to go shit after I eat? Why would there be criminals, psychos, stupid people, vegans or feminazis? Worst of all is religious people. Because in the end, the religious people will either be right and get to rub it in your face, or be wrong and realize all of a sudden how stupid they really were. Truth is, I want to believe, I want to be a stupid idiot that thinks that, if I fallow these rules and suffer through church every Sunday, I'll go somewhere high up where I'll get to eat sky cake and see all my relatives. Look at the song "Clouds" by Zach Sobiech. Good song. Not religious. Everyone that hears it automatically thinks god and heaven. I hope he got to go there, if it's real. But hope is running short in a time where the word "triggered" means offended to the extreme. This generation is a bunch of pussies. To bad I was stuck with this batch.

I find that the message that I get in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is simple. Every week is the same message. We need to follow Jesus Christ. Maybe the complicated part you were talking about was the commandments. Even these are very simple. For example: Love God, love your neighbor as yourself. I understand what you mean when you said people are doing things for the wrong reason. Many people go to church because they are reactive, sure. But I feel I am being proactive by going to church. I know that Jesus himself will come back to earth and most of the religions will be taught the gospel in its purest form. At that day we will know if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is really his. But until then we can search out the truth for ourselves. Best of luck to you on your journey to find the truth.

Nothing's going to change in the gospel living standards so he's got life all mixed up like a lot of people. So sad to see him not stick to what he grew up trying to do all because of another church's influence. I can't imagine how different the spirit was at that church. I've been to a couple of churches besides our own and it's just so drastically different on every level. Speaking in tongues is normal to most churches, loud prayers like that are normal, reading scriptures loudly, casual dress, rock bands for gospel music, etc. it's just weird to me because I know the Spirit can't reside there. At least by what the scriptures say...

Matt Ross, Sounds as if you resent others for not being burdened with children before they are ready to be a parent. Sorry if you feel like you have no choice in the matter. Any person convicted in their faith does not need others to agree. You can research outside of the LDS church too. Or if you're not LDS then you have no dog in this. No one Un-Saved feels like the Saved. Not even a contest. You know the words thrown around like candy....Joy, Peace, Grace are very real feelings that trumps all others. Its almost as if they are NOT feelings but expectations from God. He expects us to Not wallow in selfishness, but that does not mean we are only for the purpose of reproduction.

The Mormon church basically is so controlling and that you don’t seek anything outside of their church, that his new found freedom and ability to make his own choices, that is growth. Give this young man time. He was indoctrinated. Maybe his new found Christianity is the same but I doubt it. It seems as if his new belief system lets people be who they are and not channel them to marry young and pop out more kid inductees.
