As I anticipated, some comments have come in telling me I don’t know all the facts. 1. I expected backlash, because some just wanna argue. 2. This isn’t a “video essay on the subject.” It’s a movie review. I’m reviewing the film. Not the case. Not the convictions. Not whether they’re right or wrong. I’m reviewing..... The movie. I need no prior knowledge of anything regarding these accusations for that. For those of you that understand that; thank you!!🙏🏻

No need for an explanation. Anyone with common sense and who has a reasonable judge of character will conclude the two victims were sincere and Michael was guilty (I went in extremely skeptical of the claims against Michael, btw). Notice the critics refuse to watch the movie because they don't trust their own judgment, or more cynically, they don't care what he did because his contributions as a musician justify the molestation of young boys.

Well, you DID say you are not a fan of the person Michael Jackson because of this fantasy movie... so you're not just reviewing! If you knew the entire facts, you'd be grossed out at these two liars, at how evil they can be. Yeah, Wade was so "distressed" that he went on to ruin Britney Spears' relationship with Justin Timberlake by sleeping with her... That's some confidence! Not the poor little traumatized kid he's trying to portray... You should study body language or search some videos that do that for Wade ROBson. I bet there are gonna be more about him from now on... AND about the other liar that wants money desperately (that's why they asked for $1.3 BILLION from the MJ Estate). Michael took care of them their entire life and they think they are entitled to that, no matter which way... LIARS!!!

I personaly think that this film is a good platform for the kids that are blindly worship to their idols and parents who do not talk enough to them and do not look after them close enough. Bad thing about the monster is that each person can turn into it for whatever the reason or without any at all. Monsters can manipulate public opinnion, can pretend the helpless sheep to reach their own profits. I do understand why this is so hard for every hardcore fan, mostly coz of the fact that they can't answer the question: Did i enjoy the great tallent of a real monster in flesh this whole time? Antonio MADIDI if he WAS a pedophile why should we respect him? This film directly shows the story of two sexually molested kids who grown up and found some force to tell us about it wether it’s true or it’s not the purpose of the plot is to tell particular story which is one-sided for the reason. If it was called “Leaving neverland or probably Michael did not do anything let’s sort this shit” then it would make sense to show other side, but people already know the other side of the story, court trial went good for Michael you know the rest...

Agreed, if you take most documentaries on the matter it is hard to not believe Wade and Safechuck. It just fits. I mean we are talking about a guy in his 30s or 40s going out of his way to have 'sleepovers' with small kids. Forget the superstar status, the incredible talent, it's a grown man HAVING SLEEPOVERS WITH SMALL KIDS. How on earth has society justified that for so long. Not only the mothers were under a spell, even today people won't see things for what they are.

Definitely a difficult watch as someone who loves MJ's music (always will) and as a molestation survivor myself, this documentary punched me extremely hard. In the end, to quote Lady Gaga 2015 song "until it happens to you, you won't know how it feels". Yes I feel this film is slight bias, but I get it. I can only try to put myself in Jimmy and Wade's shoes. Its hurts, its devastating. Its also just crazy how people like BIll Cosby, R. Kelly, Kevin Spacey, who are iconic for their craft (which I still give credit for) end living in smoky mirrors and practically damaging their lives. Again good documentary, I was very intrigued with the family dynamics as.....I pray they find healing. I gave it a 8.2/10.

Back then when i first heard about his sexual abuse allegations, i still didnt believe it. There was a hesitation, but hell.. Its hard not to believe the detail of James and Wade stories about Michael Jackson.for me these two men come up with a big story like that is really need a courage to face all the consequences after that.and things that affirm me that is not lie that they didnt put themselves like a total victim. They loved Michael so much and they used to believe what they did was for love and showed that they care about him.they dont deny the fact.after i watched this four hours documentary, i called my son to my room and held him so tight.i couldnt believe that Wade was in my son's age now when he was molested by Michael.my cousin have watched that documentary as well, she got a headache and got sick. She told me this documentary changed your whole perception and gave you thrill, will never ever seeing Michael Jackson as the same ever again.like ever. Your review is excellent here. I love it. And honestly I can't take words for evidences cause we all see Jesse smollete thing :/

I remember back in the day before the trial when he and that kid were on that interview and the kid said "Michael said if I don't sleep in his bed I means I don't love him." And Michael laughed and said "Yeah." Oooo.. That was it for me. Then the "jesus juice" aspect came up and there was little doubt in my mind that things happened that were... bad. Everyone else I knew moved on after the trial and assumed he was innocent. I never did. I always assumed he was doing what this film says he did.

You do realise the whole point of documentaries like this is to convince you of a particular viewpoint? Very few documentary makers are honest enough to try and be objective, and even if they are it doesn't mean their own biases won't come into play anyway. I haven't seen the documentary, I have no opinion on Michael Jackson, I just know that any kind of filmmaking is by it's very nature manipulative, even so called true-life documentaries. You missed an opportunity here to actually explore how they told and presented their story and whether it was fair or overly manipulative.

You keep saying that the documentary was one-sided, which it is, but the side that is not in the documentary is the side we already know, that he was found not guilty; NOT INNOCENT, and there is no way he could have done this to children. That he loved children. We already know this. What the documentary shows is the side everyone needed to hear, the side that was silenced by the courts. Also, the grooming process that these victims and their families, and the world for that matter, have gone through. The grooming process that doesn't allow his defenders to believe that he could be guilty of any of these atrocities. That is the main point of the film. I personally don't see this as a movie about Michael Jackson, this, to me, is a film about child abuse and how it so easily can happen to anyone out there. Victims and their families are constantly groomed by celebrities, priests, family members and so many other people in positions of power for child abuse, on a daily basis. This is what makes this film so important and why everyone should watch it and discuss it. Forget MJ, the fact is that anyone else accused of the same disgusting crimes that this man was accused of, would have been in prison for the rest of their lives. That is a testament to how much the world was groomed by this man and his celebrity, that he could get away with it and the majority chose to believe him over these victims.

I’m not a fan of Michael Jackson but as an actor and someone who grew up in acting work shops and worked with some of the most talented acting coaches I can clearly see that the two victims were acting. They forced facial expressions, intellectualizing what they were saying, nothing came from the heart or place of trauma. Nothing seemed authentic. Second, the structure was so basic. You have drone shots, interview shots, archive footage and that’s it. There are various nuances in their demeanor that aren’t consistent with someone who has been abused or telling the truth. Ice worked as a behavioral therapist and the stories I’ve been told from victims were never so casually discussed.

I started watching the film being a skeptic....But after time I had to conclude that if those two guys were acting, they should get an academy award! It did not at all feel like they were lying...much too much detail to have just memorized their script...There is something to this that smells like truth...How much might be exagerated who can say...But I think there is a core of truth here. Truly sad but you can see how they and their families were sucked in by the whole fame and wealth and just weren't thinking clearly. I kind of even believe that even Michael didn't really think what he was doing was wrong...I think he was mentally ill maybe.

The point of a film review is to give your opinion on the film so others can learn from that opinion and it help in their own, it is very rare that a reviewer will get political and take sides if the subject matter inspires that, its just asking for trouble. @@AustinBurke I'm NOT doing my own channel. HE is. That's the point. Is that your argument when a politician is failing the country and is criticized. You say to the criticizer: "Well you govern the country. It's hard." Asinine. If he wants to film himself and put himself out there thats HIS choice to be open to criticism. THE WHOLE POINT OF A REVIEW IS TO SAY SOMETHING - HAVING AN OPINION. Are you actually saying that reviews are impartial? Look up the word review. it means taking a critical look at a work and I can't believe I'm even wasting my time typing this it is so unbelievably stupid to me. He needs to find something to say, that's all I'm saying. There is no point of tuning in for someone's opinion and hearing what sounds like a political dodging a divisive question at election time. It's just bizarre.

But I’m reviewing the film?? I’m not reviewing the situation. Yes, critiquing the film requires me to be judgmental but why would I sit here and say “well yeah Michael is a psycho” If the documentary itself sucked then TRUST ME, I’d let you know. And that’s what I’m reviewing. All people wanna do is argue nowadays. And that’s all that’s happening here. All over a KZbin video? One where I made my opinion clear. One where I said how much I appreciated the filmmaking. That’s literally ALL I can do as a critic is recommend the film. If you want a political debate then you’ve come to the wrong channel cause I’m not about that.
