Boy he sure responded to that question about hiking the AT again, 😀Sounded like me the first time my son talked me into "a short hike up to McAfee" and meeting a Trail Runner on the way back. I responded to the same question just about as fast and with the same answer. I have however had to eat those words.

I'm glad your experience is going considerably better! I'm diabetic so some of the foods I try to pack out are block cheese and summer sausage or salami. Those meats are pretty stable and often not refrigerated when sold. Perhaps those will give you some options
