As an engineer there is no way I would live in that. That soil looks way to loose and the living quarters has too much weight above those bricks not to mention if it rains and this soil absorbs the water and increases in weight. Good luck

that soil looks just like a little bit compressed sand, meaning any water and goodbye mountain and everything with it. High humility = no more mountain

not an expert but you would think rebar would be used here and there to reinforce it. very loose soil. looking forward to see how they furnish these places .. so small doesn't look like you could get much into them.

Is this a paper house? What do those bricks mean other than interior? Can it withstand the pressure of the earth at all? I'm guessing it'll disintegrate after a couple of big rains.

The mound is in a private area, right? Look at the density of the soil. It is unlikely to be safe if it rains heavily. The soil slides firmly.

Interesting video. I find the soil type to be rather iffy for digging out caves of any type without a ton of bracing 360 degrees. It looks like the side of a sand dune! I will shut my mouth now and continue to watch the progress being made here. Too bad the water they struck is non=potable as is 90% of all water in China. Very sad.....

coober pedy has underground homes, motels, etc and they are doing okay, same temperature all year round inside the dugouts
@tboltaq2
@tboltaq2 20 күн бұрын
Coober Pedy isn't built in a place that routinly gets a lot of rain, that is seismically active and is cut fron loose soil like this place. Coober Pedy has a heavy mineralized clay and limestone mix vs. the Chinese soil which is called Yellow Loess, which is very loose and water permiable. When it gets wet, it turns to really nasty goo and errodes quickly.
@MJML54
@MJML54 20 күн бұрын
@@tboltaq2 i lived in coober pedy in an underground home for 2 years i know its weather conditions, when it rains in coober pedy it floods and the dirt gets muddy and causes issues, my comment refers to living under ground that other than few issues i don't see a problem with living underground, and i think the people building here in this video either are aware of that or if they are not then it is their problem right?

What you do expect Leveling mountains take years before they even start building silklevel cities Before they even lay out the ground, start putting basements and houses up. I know you have schizophrenia. I'm not doing that. Regardless? God still considers people to do it longer. It tear down mountains and building city on the plains.

I never leave negative comments, but this is the stupidest thing I've ever seen and he's just begging for it. I'm a 63-year-old former librarian. I know nothing about engineering, but anyone who's ever built a sandcastle knows you can't live in them. Those workers are grinning because they know this is the dumbest thing ever, but hey, if the rich guy gives us jobs, who cares if it collapses in 5 years. They don't even use rebar. They generally don't in China, it seems, but if ever a wall called for rebar... I would love to see what the front entrance looks like after the first rain. But who knows, maybe he intends to cover the whole pile up with brick. That should make it last for, jeez, I don't know, at least 10 years!😂😂😂

My head hurts watching this shoddy construction project.... One decent sized quake and this thing will collapse, and bury the occupants... Not one single poured foundation. Not one inch of rebar. He headers are too short. The wiring is wrapped w/ friction tape.... The arches are only as thick as a single course of the bricks used to line them... The errosion will become a serious issue too. The retaining walls are a joke... Now I have a migraine!

This does not appear to be an apartment for a man who is leaving the city. Why would you label it like that? And why the hell would you show that whole video only to have the last few seconds be the reveal of the final project when the next videos are popping up and covering the screen? That’s some really bad content creation, I waited till the end to see the completed project and you just swung and missed. Just terrible.
