the cuisine in the Levant region (including Lebanon) is a mixture of Meditteranean and Middle Eastern cuisines, we use simple, yet fresh ingredients, and add the perfect type of spice to each meal. glad you did not eat a Shawarma (which is considered a street food) because if you did, it will fill you up and you won't have enough oom for any other meal :P

It is sad to see people abusing kindness and overcharging visitors. They may have made a couple of bucks extra but people watching this video will never trust anyone around when visiting there. Anyway, great to have virtual tour with you Sonny - best show in KZbin!

@@basho740 Some places far more than others - very evident when you watch various tourist videos. Think the worst one I saw was Czech Republic, Prague, so many tourist traps there. When it comes to visiting foreign countries with a language you don't speak, having a local guide is key.

Sweet pastries in middle east and generally in arabic countries are expensive , since the cost of the nuts is so expensive and the paste inside is literally all nuts , for example tunisia which is an arabic country pistachio is so expensive where most people can’t afford even to buy it let alone buy a large amount of it

at the contrary, people look so nice and generous, and this is how he concluded if you watched till the end. + he got like 10 peices of deserts, like 1 usd per desert is not even abusing, you're ok to pay hundreds of dollars + tips in different part of the word or in luxurious restaurants, but when it's a small shop, where people are in need you are very good at negotiating and calculating every dollar

In Lebanon, the culinary scene stands out. While you've experienced street food, many regular restaurants tend to be on the pricier side. But Lebanon currently faces challenges in waste management, and trash can be observed everywhere. The educational system has its limitations, with quality education often reserved for those who can afford private institutions. The social dynamics can sometimes feel patriarchal, with a noticeable emphasis on male dominance. However, for food enthusiasts with a budget, Lebanon offers more than just street food. Numerous chefs and restaurants serve exquisite dishes. While the food can be exceptional, other aspects of the country might not meet every traveler's expectations.
