Generations of Palestinians have called Lebanon home. Many fled here during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.
It has been a struggle for them to survive. But the current level of poverty is unprecedented - the result of one of the worst economic crises in recent history.
The United Nations agency that is supposed to support them has been crippled by a shortage of funds. Children are hungry, and many people are jobless, while others die at sea trying to reach Europe.

What is truly disgraceful is the appalling silence and inaction of Arab regimes (not the people) in this Palestinian situation. Where is the assistance? Instead of competing for the tallest sky scrapper, isn't it more benefiting (on many levels!) to spend money on schools, hospitals, clean water, employment, etc. ? And the diplomatic relations of the UAE, Morocco, and Egypt with Israel is shameful and a further sign of the Arab world's deep weakness. As for Lebanon, there is NOTHING to expect from this ridiculous country where corruption is an institution in itself and sectarianism a social cancer.

Well when they escaped the economy of Lebanon was good and at that time they could live wherever they want in Lebanon But their political groups been formed and they started to take by force Lebanese houses and stay in and they tried to take Lebanon and make it their country ( they didn't wanted to live in someone country but wanted to take a country ) That's were the war started in Lebanon, And then they been put in a camp and because of their acts many rights been removed as working in most of the jobs some started to get married with Lebanese women so they can have access to their lands ( very often Lebanese parents where against that because of the kidnapping and kills that they did in the country ) The government took the right TILL now that now women can give her kids the nationality. And till now they try to do some trouble. ( their political group) and for sure the pple stands by them 1 month ago they made a video of a camp with effect of bombing and weapons and they the till was ; Look what the Lebanese and their army are doing ( that's because they didn't like the fact that Lebanon signed am agreement with Israel to draw the sea

Lebanon is also very close to them culturally. They speak absolutely the same language. Lebanese Palestinians shouldn't be discriminated and isolated, but integrated. P.S. Palestinians, living in the Netherlands, normally have the Dutch citizenship just like Mexicans, living here, or Russians, living here. Because everyone can get the Dutch citizenship after 5 years, living in the country legally., and enjoy the same rights like anyone else here

Sad plight of Palestinians everywhere. Many times they are their own worst enemy. If they had stayed in their homes in 1948 and accepted the Israeli offer to build a country together they’d still be in Israel. Instead, 5 Arab nations encouraged the Palestinians to leave so that their armies could destroy Israel. The fact that people who live in this type of powerty are having many children when I am living a very average life and thinking that I wouldn't be able provide enough if I had kids. I think it has many layers, one of them was their role around Jordanian Civil War Black September 1970 where PLO fought Jordan and later moved to Lebanon and was a great part of the reason starting the Lebanon civil war 1975-1990. So its easy for the Lebanese Government and people to regard them as outsiders and troublemakers. Very sad situation.

There is a lot of lies in this those. The registered refugees get several hundred dollars a month in aid. They get it in dollars. Which is 6 month worth of salary the ordinary Lebanese who are not getting salary in dollars. Most Lebanese are earning less than 50$ a month. They also have their own army and soldiers and cause too much crime. This isn’t a good situation for anyone. We need a plan to get them back to their country.
