The second programme exploring the lives of Palestinian refugees, this Life episode is set in Lebanon, where - according to the UN - there are 375,000 Palestinian refugees. Palestinians are unwanted in Israel, as we saw last week's programme; but in war-torn, sectarian Lebanon, among fellow Arabs, they hardly fare better, and most live in poverty. Barred from working, they also have limited access to medical care and higher education. Many have been in Lebanon for 50 years.

She wanted her children to have rights? How about the right not to be forced into a life of misery and deprivation? How disgusting does life have to be before people begin to use their consciences and refrain from needlessly producing more sufferers?

They keep having kids because Most of these kids will eventually join the multiple resistance forces and will help at some point claiming back their lands and put an end to the occupation and the oppression.

That's what I keep on thinking. I live in a first world country but barely have enough for my own comfort therefore plan to not have kids since I can't give them what they need. I think everybody has the right to have a family, of course, but one would think on future suffering. I don't even live in bad conditions and if I can't at least afford a separate bedroom for my child I don't wanna have one at all.
