I do not understand why a young player would want to play for Kim Mulkey. How do the parents even let the LSU women's basketball program come into their lives? She does not care anything about the players. She is not trying to help any of these players develop into young women. She could not even bring herself to support a former player who was imprisoned in Russia, Brittney Griner - that alone should disqualify her. No empathy at all.

I used to really respect Coach Mulkey. However, she lost me 100% when she refused to support her former player, Griner! She could have disagreements with her decisions, but nothing she did should have resulted her being stuck in a Russian prison as a political pawn!! if you wanna see clearly the difference between character and not, just look to the fighting incident between South Carolina and LSU. Coach, Stanley showed how you handle a situation like that, and Coach Mulkey showed exactly how you should not. It is bigger than petty on court fighting, since it has more of an impact on, the perception of women’s basketball as a whole. Mulkey can’t get past her own personal ego!
