These are the same analysts who every year say "this is his chance to add to his case" before saying, "the comparison is over" when he loses (only to once again revive the GOAT conversation the next season). It's obvious they just want to keep the debate going. But the truth is, most people who think LeBron is the GOAT have him there because of longevity and most people who don't think he's the GOAT also don't think there's anything he can do to get there at this point. Btw, Jordan's Wizards team was awful whereas this Lakers team is stacked even without LeBron. If Wizards Jordan got to play alongside a top 5 player like AD and the rest of the talented Lakers roster, he would definitely have been expected to at least make playoffs, which LeBron has barely been able to do the past few seasons (missed it in 2022) and only because of the play in (which didn't exist in Jordan's time). Wizards Jordan, before he hurt his knee, was actually still a very good player and a better defender than LeBron has been in years.

The only way I see Denver not repeat is if they get murderer’s row to the final. Vs Lakers first round vs Suns/Wolves second round both teams are problems Wolves got defense and Suns got 3 great scorers that have bothered Denver all year. Russell Westbrook averaged a triple double for 3 straight Seasons, Wilt scored 100 in 1 game, Wemby is about to do unheard of things, LeBron's longevity is beyond amazing! Therefore, some TEAM accolades are hard to accomplish ALONE. Yeah he has to be the best right now and to win it all right now because it is his fault that he couldn't do it in his prime when he had amazing teammates around him. He was horrible against Dallas and Heat should've easily ein in those series. He was also horrible in 2010 against Celtics last 3 games, he was also terrible against Spurs in 2007 finals wgen Tony Parker absolutely destroyed him and simply...
