@@bignean2280 Only reason I say I semi-disagrees because Jokić’s game is already slow and doesn’t really require a lot of athleticism. He doesn’t jump to get his rebounds. @Apocalypse2031 Yeah, I was arguing with a guy saying Wilt was the GOAT the other day. Wilt was without a doubt an amazing athlete one of the best athletes, and could have done well in any generation, but he was not the GOAT or even close. He played against players that were much smaller, weaker, slower, less skilled, and just not as good, which is why he was so dominant. I mean by the 80's alone he would not have been able to even be as close to dominant, even if he was in his prime. I love Wilt and he was a great player, but definitely not the greatest. Whoever thinks LeBron is the greatest athlete has a very bad historical knowledge. Wilt Chamberlain is the great physical specimen to play a professional sport. Faster, bigger, stronger, higher jumper. Was a collegiate high jumper and 440 runner. Played professional beach volleyball. Was faster running the court than LeBron (it's been verified). Verified 500 lbs bench. Could pick a quarter off the top of the backboard. Could dunk free throws (NBA banned it before he did it in a game because he did it in practice and word got out). Led the league in assists one year because he was criticized. Was he the GOAT in basketball? Depends on definition. But as an athlete? Nobody close.

He was under .500 in playoffs his first 6 years and was dominated by them all. Does mean MJ wasn’t great or he ran up against a > TEAM then his? This may be hard for casuals like you to understand, but the best TEAMS win titles, not the best individual players. How about 95 ECSF when favored Bulls lead by MJ lost to Shaq & Penny Magic? Horace Grant killed it for the Magic and Bulls didn’t have Horace or Rodman yet. The best TEAM wins series not the best individual player.

He has the turnover record.....will never get another title unless he humbles himself and goes to a team that is ready to win it all and take a backup role to those who have been dominating the league for the last 5 yrs....he can still contribute but he was never a finisher and his defense is sporadic.....and that is being kind.@@1119benjamin

These takes about Belichik and Tomlin are ridiculous. This guy is comparing BUMS winning 1 or 2 games to Super Bowl winning coaches. What happened to the Rams when Stafford was injured? What happened to 49ers when Purdy was injured? Maybe Cowherd is right, but the reason he provided were not convincing. LOL

As a pats fan, I'd be more willing to take Tomlin than keep Belichek. Pittsburgh always draft talented players, they never have bad drafts. The only things they don't have are the QB and a good OC and although yeah, they arw a bit outdated in their approach they are still competitive every year. I would say the worst pick they've made over they last few years was Pickett. Belichek hasn't had even a servicable draft in years. We aren't competitive. Mac Jones fell off a cliff after McDaniels left and Belichek put Matt Patricia as the OC. Bill o Brien is a good OC but Mac won't keep his mouth shut. Pittsburgh is still a great team, NE no longer are as they are a mess

It’s a quarterback league. Colin must of forgot about the 5k yards Big Ben put up on the regular. WITH TOMLIN. It’s not the coach, it’s the qb situation. And don’t roll your eyes about never having a losing season. That’s one of the greatest stats I’ve ever heard.
@jeremiahwhan
@jeremiahwhan 9 ай бұрын
Ben didn't put up 5k yard seasons "on the regular." He only had ONE 5k yard season, in 18 years. And there are only 2 QBs in history, to have more than one in their career. One is Mahomes, with 2. The second is Brees, with 5. At retirement, Ben averaged slightly over 3,500 yards a season.

I’m fine with Lebron being “on the list” as one of the greatest athletes in sports history. But he’s not at the top. How about a guy who was a legitimate 2 sport professional athlete, played at the HIGHEST level of both sports, even playing in a NFL game & a MLB game on the same day. would have been World Series MVP if his team had won, & got a couple Super Bowl rings on his way to a first ballot HOF induction. I don’t care what Lebron accomplishes, basketball is the least difficult & grueling pro sport, Deion is the greatest ATHLETE in American sports history and we don’t need to continue that discussion.

Anyone who denies it doesnt have the capacity to truly contextualize LeBron's whole career and story. As a high schooler he was the most hyped prospect ever and came into the league at 18. Fast forward 20 years taking into account everything hes accomplished I dont know how you rationally argue against him being able to submit his resume as the greatest athlete ever.

Because that’s only a small part of LEGACYYYY, I don’t think people can “truly contextualize” the FULLLL meaning of a athletes LEGACYYY. Lebrons trump cards when it comes to legacy is , being named the chosen one as a high schooler , 4 championships , 8 straight finals appearances and of course overall longetivity. Super dope , can’t argue his legacy , but why does that trump , 6 championships, two separate 3 peats , and retired TWICEEEE to early 😂. Complete dominance (ofc they were plumbers 😒) where nobody from his era can compete and even the ones right before him (magic and bird) where surpassed FIRMLY b4 he hung it up . Lebron has ppl within his same era with the same number of championships and it’s a gift and a curse playing THIS LONG because you can’t have it both ways , you can’t let lebron score 40 points and everyone says omgggg the goat he 38 and dropping 40 still , but then if the lakers lose or dont win a ring it’s “ man lebron old” 🤔. Can’t have it both ways , his resume is undefeated , resume and legacy aren’t exactly the same. That’s why bringing up bill Russell is dumb , yeah 11 rings but he did it in a league with 10 teams where he was a top 2 player the entire time . Bill Russels resume is undefeated. Not legacy .
