On August 20, 2015, LeBron James traveled to the Manila, Philippines as a guest appearance for the Nike RISE program in the country. Nike RISE is a weekly reality show that focuses on finding talented basketball players in terms of their skills and stories in the Philippines.
LeBron entered the game with 10 minutes remaining in the game, and he gave the audience a show with his high-flying dunks.
Philippines-raised and born Kobe Paras who is currently playing for the Los Angeles Cathedral also made an appearance in the event.
Nike RISE events also include Nike athletes such as Kobe Bryant, Paul George, and Anthony Davis who had made his 2015 tour around cities like Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
● LeBron James is 32 years old now, and he entered the NBA league back in 2003 with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he had been playing at the Quicken Loans Arena for almost 11 years now. Sports Illustrated put him on the cover the prior year as a high school junior with the claimed tagline: “The Chosen One.” Nike inked him to a seven-year, $90 million deal while he was still in high school. James has become the superstar icon in Cleveland itself, and the Cleveland Cavaliers has decided to place a new LeBron James banner outside of Quicken Loans Arena.
LeBron James has been one of the hottest names on the endorsement trail as well, locking up partnerships with Nike, Coca-Cola (Sprite), Beats By Dre, State Farm Insurance, Kia Motors, Intel, Progressive Insurance, Samsung, Verizon Wireless, McDonald's, Powerade, and Blaze Pizza.
James is on the Mount Rushmore of the most influential and popular active athletes on the planet. His 41 million Facebook followers is second behind only Cristiano Ronaldo among athletes. He sells more of his signature Nike LeBron shoes for Nike than any other active athlete.
Back in 2016, LeBron James has reportedly donated an unprecedented $41 million to put 1,100 Ohio kids through college, which is part of his partnership with the University Of Akron, in which kids enrolled in his "I Promise" program will have the opportunity to receive a fully guaranteed four-year college scholarship. Through his "I Promise" program, students who are qualified will get a scholarship that will cover their entire college degree tuition and the general service fee from the university.
LeBron James' kids are all grown up now, and there are 3 of them LeBron James Jr. (13 years old ), Bryce Maximus James (10 years old ) and daughter Zhuri James (3 years old) as of 2018.

+leon scott Football is not as worldwide as you think, it's mostly 80% Europe, about 15% South America and 5% rest of the World. Nothing really compares to Europe. All the best and most talented South Americans come to play for the big teams in Europe, so their skill is above the average European players because of that, but it's a one way street. And basketball is, i think, more international than football, it's just that it's not popular and there is no money for it.

No youre wrong, south america is as crazy about football as is Europe, it's true that they have the best teams but that's only because they have more money, I'm not sure about Asia or Africa but south america and Europe definitely are all about football. I'm Brazilian and here everyone wants to play football (in PE for example ) except for a handful of people that prefer volleyball or in my case basketball, basketball courts are scarce and when you find one its a multi sport and people are playing football. I only enjoy basketball more because I found myself bored with football and found out I have some sort of gift for basketball ( 6 ft 2 playing for only 6 months and beating people that have been playing for more than 3 years became a starter in 1 month of playing ) if it wasn't for that it'd be playing football since everyone does.
