Thankyou, 2007 game 5 is so obviously Lebrons greatest game. 25 consecutive points in the 4th quarter and overtime bro. No one has ever been close to doing smth like this. Clutch shot after clutch shot after clutch shot. Game 5 of am ECF on the opponents home floor, 48 points, undoubtedly the greatest clutch performance ever

I’d actually argue 2012 Game 6 vs the Celtics Because of everything that it represented and was on the line in 07 He wasn’t in a must win situation and was still extremely young over performing against the odds in 2012 after that Yes we did party and the meltdown he had in 2011 Without that performance his goat case would be shut imo legacy takes a massive blow and it was widely reported that the big 3 was going to break up if they didn’t win

@@CJK2175 True it’s actually the only game out of these 5 were he had A LOT of pressure (Except maybe 2016 Finals game 5), but this’was like probably the most pressure an NBA player had ever faced, his team was the favorite to win, a superteam against another superteam, he had 0 ring at that point and chocked the year before, just look at how Lebron haters bring up 2011 in every debate, now imagine if he lost again in 2012 … So yeah this is the only game were his team was the favorite to win so more pressure and the way he demolished them from the start was legendary he started the game 8/9 from’the field

I don't care what anyone thinks about that Warriors team, or how amazing Steph and KD were, I will never not be convinced that if the Cavs won that game, they would have dominated that series bc Lebron would have played like he was never gonna play again. @@k.rick_9993I get why people said that but it felt like the Cavs and Lebron belonged in the Finals right up until JR ran out the clock. Game 1 decided the series and the Warriors in OT and after played like it wasnt even closer between the two teams.

@@geordiejones5618 absolutely agree. JR Smith forcing OT for the warriors took away all of the team and lebron's confidence and momentum, while giving the warriors the push they needed to take over. they struggled in game 1 and I think if they had lost, their confidence would've been shaken really hard and the momentum would be entirely on the side of the cavs to dominate them further throughout the series as their mental game crumbled away.

I think his Game 6 vs Golden State in 2016 should've made the list over his Game 5. 41 Points, 8 Rebounds, 11 Assists, 4 Steals, 3 Blocks. Unlike Game 5, he didn't have Kyrie to lean on as much. In Game 5, Kyrie also scored 41 Points. Kyrie scored 23 points in Game 6 and had a minor foot injury which caused him to be less effective in the 2nd half. There was also a stretch from half way through the 3rd Quarter to midway through the 4th Quarter where LeBron was only member of the Cavs to score, which was 18 straight Points.

To see a man who was facing the career failure he was facing if he lost that game come out not just on top? But with one of the best games ever? That was like wow. *I’ve always personally felt “clutch” performances were games like that, more so than just games where a player hits a clutch shot. I think it’s more clutch to take over an entire game and end it early than it is to mess around when you have a chance to end it early and only end up making a shot late. But I DO also respect and understnsd the hype for a shot like that in a close game.

Yes Eric! Especially because he made something like 8-9 jump shots i believe. That was the moment LeBron went from someone teams really dared to shoot when it came down to title time, to sort of relenting that they HaVe to let him shoot a liiiittle bit cuz his drives are so lethal, but they still don’t want to give him open jumpers. The spurs dared him to shoot it to beat them, they bet he couldn’t hit enough jumpers to win a game 7, and he hit almost 10. 5 3s and I believe 3-4 mid range, including the shot that gave me butterfly’s, the 20 footer from the top of the key extended when they were only up 2 with 30 seconds left. He sealed the deal with that dagger and the energy and mannerisms he made as he super quickly stomped towards the bench after the spurs called timeout? Ahh! Butterflies! Amazing! Do you remember his energy that I’m referring to? It felt so cathartic. It really did. Like “AHhHhH. HA! That’s what you mother fuking get when you dare ME to shoot! I got this! I’ll do whatever it takes!” And it was like all of the countless hours and hours upon hours of time shooting in the gym as well as mentally honing his ability to keep his form tight while shooting even if his mind and anxiety is going crazy just came together in perfect harmony at the perfect moment and it was just like…so much harmony; catharsis, passion, proudness of himself, I loved it. Thank you for mentioning it sir

to me that should be in the top 5 if not top 3. Going against the Spurs and Pop, a team with a championship pedigree themselves along with one of the greatest coaches ever, game 7, chance to repeat. He has a big game and in the final 30 seconds hits a midrange shot to put them up by 4, gets a steal, gets fouled and nails both free throws to seal the championship. Was the best player on the floor and it wasn't really close despite there being some other great players on the floor. Both teams came to play, nothing flukish was going on, it was two teams with championship pedigrees who knew how to win, how to play defense, how to execute, playing at a high level, and it was LeBron who closed it out after already having an outstanding game.

That ‘07 Pistons game was mean as hell. Solid ranking fr. Personally I’d switch 1&2 just because of the sheer impressiveness Bron displayed in that entire 2018 season&playoff run. I’m pretty sure outside of the Finals he had a game winner in every Eastern Conference series leading up&he had to go to 7 in 2 of those prior series before facing arguably the greatest team ever assembled. It’s a shame JR blundered cause everybody knew that took so much momentum out of Cleveland, but I understand why you put it at 2 from your explanation of the criteria. Really like this video format, you should consider doing this with (a few) other players as well. Some people could really use the education of seeing a guy like AI’s or Dirk’s best games to understand their on-court greatness throughout their careers. Great video, keep it up!!!

I commented earlier without watching your list. I had forgotten how filthy that game against the Celtics was. I love LeBron James as a talent but I really don't root for the opponent so his Heat years are special for me. 2012-13 is when I was dating my wife got engaged and got married so those seasons have extra special meaning to me as my life took a huge leap and my favorite basketball team was on top of the world.

Game 6 vs the Celtics. Legacy defining game and he came through in a big way. Like okay, maybe game 5 vs Pistons you can arguably put over it, but you can't put the G1 51/8/8 vs the Warriors over Game 6 vs the Celtics.

I would say Game 6 would be no. 2 but I think Game 7 vs the 2016 Warriors should've been 2 or 3 and Game 1 vs 2018 Warriors is definitely no.1 because that Warriors squad is the greatest team ever.

Including context, game 6 against the Celtics should be on here. The fact that his game face became synonymous with LeBron when he’s “on” speaks volumes.

Good job Rusty, it was hard to pick a game out of all those carry jobs Lebron has had in his career. I would have your n4 as n1 for the stage, the opponent and filling up the sheet. My HM would be the "Lebronto" game.

The mean mug was during tip off. I watched it on TV not due to a tech. There is a lot of footage out there of teammates of LeBron saying he had a straight face with everyone in the locker room that day.

Watched the game back recently. Charlotte was a decent team. They made the playoffs that year, and al jefferson had one of the best games of his life. Ofc the other games were more high stakes, I would also rate that performance lower, but to outright call them bad is an overstatement.

This is why I say Kobe only had a short stint as the best player in the world, bc Bron was doing this at 22yo. The next two seasons he was MVP. Kobe might have had it in 06, but the 07 Playoffs was Lebron’s coronation. This was the game he took that top spot.

Without watching beyond you saying 5 games, I'm guessing: 2007 ECF vs the Pistons 2012 Game 6 vs Celtics 2016 Finals Game 5, 6, or 7 2018 Finals Game 1 Last one is a bit of a wildcard, potentially game 7 2013 Finals but maybe a throwback dominant performance during the first Cavs run
