You say it was easier to make the playoffs before 2004, because 16 out of the 23 teams made it in 1985, but 16 out of 29 teams made it since 2004. 2004-05 season was also the same season they removed hand checking! So while it’s harder to make the playoffs, it’s actually easier to score, so they cancel out under that logic. Even then, more teams doesn’t necessarily mean it’s more difficult to make the playoffs. When the NBA expanded to 30 teams, they added two more divisions to even things out. It actually evened things out. Six divisions, 5 teams each. So, in reality, you’re only competing with 4 other teams in your division to make the playoffs (which is basically how it was in the league anyway, except there were four divisions and 23 teams, so a couple of divisions got the short end of the stick. This actually made it harder for the divisions with more teams to make the playoffs. As a matter of fact, Michael Jordan’s division had 6 teams in it during his playoff years, so he actually had to compete with more teams for a playoff spot than divisions with 5 teams!!! You can go fact check all the statistical and historical information and see it’s ALL FACTS!!! I get so annoyed by you Lebron supporters!
