And bro what you have to remember. Back then the bigs. Which are the centers which most were 7footers, power forwards and the small forwards. Where paid to get rebounds, and keep people out of the paint and scoring easy points. That's why it was so physical. But Jordan did what he wanted. And today's game, a lot of the bigs are shooting 3 pointers and jump shots. Which leaves the paint wide open. For easy scoring. If Jordan played in today's game. Wow, is all that I can say.

To the gentleman in the tank top…you make so many valid points and the others refuse to see them. You’ll never change their minds. They say that the level of play wasn’t as hard as nowadays. How can they say that without witnessing a significant amount of play. I think you all weren’t even born back then. I’ve been watching basketball consistently since 1989. The style of play was vicious and hard. That so called “push off” was negligible. The other dude lost HIS footing while Turing around too quickly without regard to his center of gravity and power of forward motion.

The best GOAT comparison came from a guy saying you needed to rank them by their positions. Lebron is only ranks high among forwards with assists. Jordan ranks high among shooting guards with points, steals & blocks. Six of the top 20 shooting guards played during Michael Jordan's prime: Clyde Drexler, Joe Dumars, Reggie Miller, Dennis Johnson, Allen Iverson, & Ray Allen. Don't look like any plumbers to me.

I'm a 65 year old black man who has watched basketball since I was seven years old. I played both street ball and league ball. I've seen the greats come and go, and I've had my favorites. This talk of plumbers and janitors is as absurd as it is ignorant!! The 80s and 90s were the absolute best eras of NBA basketball, with the 90s featuring the best players of all! Check the records!! Today's game and participants pale in comparison!!!! There was no such thing as load management, and personal time was only for actual emergencies. Michael Jordan played against the greatest players on the planet, and he smoked them all; night after night!! What passes for NBA basketball nowadays is more like WWE or WWF or whatever they call pro wrestling now. Also, the once exciting spectacle of the Allstar Game has been reduced to a clown show with clowns jacking up 3s as soon as they cross half court!! And the rules have been obliterated to allow for this "new style" of basketball. I've literally seen LeBron James take as many as five steps on his way to the basket, then complain to the ref about the and-one!! There is no successful argument nor comparison about the GOAT or the greatest eras! Period!! ❤😊

LeBron maybe top 10. Bird is the best small forward of all time. Mike Wilt Kareem Bird Russell. Top 5. Magic is the best point guard of all time. He was not the best player on the Lakers. Kareem. Media has this generation confused. Bird and Magic save the league. Entertaining story. Kareem was still the best player in the league when Magic came in the league. He won his sixth MVP award that year. He won his last finals MVP 38 years old. Last ring 41 years old. No defensive 3 seconds rule. 7' big men guarding the paint. Lebron's game would not work . Mike had a 48" vertical and ran a 4.3 forty. Top fast and jumps too high. No weakness in his game. Lebron's skills are not close.

There are few, if any, things LeBron can do that Jordan couldn't do. There are MANY things Jordan couldn't do that LeBron could never do. The main reason Jordan had a shorter career is because he gave 100% all the time. You don't see him walking down the court or not playing defense at all like Lebron has done.
@GregNewkirk-o8h16 күн бұрын
Jordan like all the true greats Mike made a statement with his career and moved on . LeBron has not won anything after 35 years old . Just hanging around padding stats and ruining a historic franchise. Longevity? Kareem retired at 42 . He was still the best player in the league when Magic and Larry came in the league. He won his sixth MVP award that year. He won his last finals MVP 38 years old. He won his last ring 41 years old. That is meaningful longevity. Mike Wilt Kareem Bird. Top 4 . 5 is debatable. LeBron maybe top 10.

Tons of Fun saying Janitors but the players now are manufactured. The league is soft now and its far easier to score. Look at the players that have scored 40+ the last decade. Its got bench guys and nobodys that havent done anything since because lack of defense in the league makes it easier. No goon centers and PF in the league now. They are all built like cooked spaghetti and play like it too. If you brought back ANY post player from the 90s and they dominate this league
