Sir, i got some doubts. At 06:02 we use 30MVA for T1 where as at 15:12 we took 15MVA for T1. Why is that sir?

I thought the old MVA should be 30 for all the conversions since the old pu values calculated using 30 mva as base. Its not clear to me. Pls hlp

@@adilsaiyad3684 both are separate questions. In the first question we are given actual (ohmic) values and have to calculate pu values on common base. In the second question we are given pu values calculated on individual base and have to calculate pu values on common base. So in second question the old base MVA would be the MVA of each individual element.

Sir the base voltage is changed w. R to transformer sides ri8 but I actually thought that the base values are considered to be same throughout the line of the given network.. the solution is ok when we consider the base value of voltage as ll kv for the whole system...

Sir u have said that always take phase values for calculating pu but in case of T1 as hv side value is given and if it is power transformer then it's winding will be like star-delta so HV side is Delta means if we are taking line values we have to divide by 3 according to formula derived in previous lecture.If the configuration is star I don't have any confusion as either we take line values ratio or phase values

Sir I've a doubt... Generator, transformers and transmission line rated power is 30 hence we r taking 30MVA as base... BT the motor load has a rating of 25 MVA shouldn't we be taking 25 MVA as base power... 30MVA and 11 kV should've been taken when we are converting each element in terms of common base of power and voltage.. I.e [x(new)/x(old)....formula which u taught in previous video]

I think there is no meaning to write initially 11 kv as base kv. Its creating confusion. Simply we can consider the base mva and take the base kva of each component separately as it will change in each component how its connected to previous voltage.

In case #1 We assumed base MVA is 30MVA for all (G,T1,T2,M, T.L). Then why in Case#2 we take different old MVA for G,T1,T2,M,T.L. to find new per unit reactance value. Why we can't take same 30 MVA as old value for all equipment. Please answer. Please help.

For transformer we have two sides that is HV and LV side so either side u can calculate that is the reason sir took like that , (KV)base oh HV side = ((KV)base on LV side )*(HV volatge rating /LV voletage rating ) . This is the actual formula similarly it can be found for (KV)base on LV side too.

Sir, when u r calculating pu value of T1, there is no use of 11kv as base value. That means for any base value of voltage pu value will not change. Sir Plz explain me why we can't aplly new pu value from old pu value formula here?

Acha chlo suno... Currently gen ki base value 11kv li, to transformer step up krk 33kv de rha h. (Transformation ratio of transformer = 33/11 = 3) Ab let's say tumne base vaule gen ki 10kv krdi then at primary voltage of transformer 10kv hoga and secondary pr 30kv hoga(transformer ka transformation ratio is constant) Now calc pu value of transformer at hv side. 16 ohm * (30MVA/ 30kV^2) = 0.53 pu It's clear that pu value changes as base is changed. I hope it's clear now .

voltage rating of Xmer is given in line to line voltage but for calculating base voltage for different region how we will calculate that ....

u have to take line voltage only..also it depends on winding of xmer..so by taking star winding u can go through like this..for more detail you can watch lec 01 in which i explained the pu concept.
