8:53 This chart just makes me think of ptsd 🙃 Which makes me think the cure for ptsd really is to put yourself in a similar situation over and over till you “get over it” 😅 jeez - the more I listen to these lectures, the more I understand why people teach the way they do

The clip at 41:00 can be watched here: watch?v=M0yhHKWUa0g I really love watching these lectures, but I wish the removed excerpt links were posted in the description rather than as text.
Thanks alan too ❤️ And yes I agree...putting the links is better...

Anyone knows where to watch something similar to what has been emitted at 7:24, which is conditioning students with water and balloons?

10:04 😂 Politics in a nutshell “My name / identity is vaguely attached to something you value - therefor I am the thing you value” and you got yourself a cult of personality 😅
7:50 I don't like how he says that we can "unlearn" something, it's still learning?
@chowbrian81244 жыл бұрын
I think it's the linkage became weakened, so it's un-learning the correlation and learning that the two are not correlated?
@adrianreyes51313 жыл бұрын
He's referring to the extinction of the stimulus association. By weakening the link between the conditioned stimulus and unconditioned stimulus then we basically 'unlearn' it. However, extinction never disappears, there's only a small memory there but it's quite subliminal :)

There is no such thing as a free lunch and these average lectures prove it once again. Waste of time.

this is an introductory course designed for people without any psychology background, the goal is to trigger their interest and give them an overview of the whole subject.
