In order to access a pin as a peripheral, is it required to assign both GMUX and MUX? or is any one of the MUX enabling is sufficient.

Gmux is set to 0 already so section one in "gpio and peripheral muxing" table is initialised and normal mux helps you to decide whether to use a pin as gpio or epwm or sci .. now if you change gmux another section of pins which are for some different purposes are selected...for clarity visit section 8.7 of technical reference manual...and check if gmux changes to 1, 2, or 3 how pin changes
