I'm doing my doctorate in US right now, and have been lectured by professors from schools like Princeton, Oxford, Stanford.. and I gotta say, none would come close to the excellence in which Prof. V. teaches here. How great a teacher is and how smart he is, maybe correlated but are definitely not causal. Great work man, immense respect. Really.

This lecture is on the Heisenberg and Schrodinger pictures as well as the matrix representations of the annihilation and creation operators. Proof is also given of the generalised uncertainty principle using the definition of the standard deviation and the Cauchy inequality.

I'm a fan of Prof. V. Balakrishnan. Actually, a t-shirt with the word 'Balakrishnan' written on it may be a top seller.

Because the real part's are cancelled with each other. it's (a+ib) - (a-ib) hence we have (a+ib) - (a-ib) = 2ib . To be noted here that the second term which is (a-ib) is just the complex conjugate of the first term that is (a+ib). You can know more about how to do complex conjugate from internet. In general it's just when we do complex conjugate we just change sign. of the imaginary part (term which contains iota ).
