It is really very joyful to learn the course directly from Prof. Kothari whose book i studied during my undergraduate and found very difficult to understand.

These are all excellent lectures. Engineering students here in US benefit from these lectures. I wish that American professors made their lectures available like this. Thank Professor Kothari for sharing this valuable knowledge on power systems analysis.

Answer to the question of: Bompally Sushil: According to the book of Prof. Kothari “Modern Power System Analysis” third edition, Chapter 6, we have to calculate the inverse of the Jacobian matrix to solve the systems of equations [ΔP,ΔQ]=[J][Δδ,Δ|V|] in order to calculate the increments [Δδ,Δ|V|] which are used to calculate the values of the next iteration δ1=Δδ+δo and |V1|=Δ|V|+|Vo|. Best regards from Caracas, Venezuela. Carlos Dominguez (student of specialization of Power Systems at Universidad Central de Venezuela)

Sir, in NR method, why should we take the inverse of the Jacobian? As per the mathematics it is just the negative of the jacobian, there is no need of calculating inverse of that matrix... I may be wrong, can you please explain?

Statement that FDLF is an approximation is totally false. If you put random matrix and it converges, that solution is correct solution!!!! So FDLF and NR solution is the same!!!

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said that Muslims should seek knowledge even as far as China. Knowledge must be obtain from wherever it may be found. In the end we are all human beings who are interdependent on each other. Human progress has always been the result of a collective cooperative effort.
