Heated gripps, heater element: I experienced that the original heat grip element normaly does never fail.Mostly the problem is the switch on the dash that may be full of gunk. Be aware, when taking the switch appart, -the contact is spring loaded so disasamble in a bucket. A little vaseline does the job to lubricate the switch pivote points. To prevent damaging the original heater element you may try a hair dryer to heat the old gum grips for better pealing of in one peace and wirhout the use of sharp or pointy tools.

I need to replace my heated grips on my r1100gs, going to use Oxford instead of the originals, also good idea using the old heated grips switch to power your spot lights 👌👍

I believe you will see a massive improvement in the lighting performance of your LED headlight having your transparent plastic headlight cover polished either by using a DIY solution or by taking it an appropriate workshop.Nice job anyways! Keep up!

Actually, the transparent headlight cover is glass, but with it like this there's already been a huge improvement to the lighting.

Alex you legend! Really enjoy your vids. Quick question. How did you do the wiring of the heated grips? Did you need to order any extra parts? Or did you just hook it up to the battery? The fuel tank needs to be removed for the wiring right? Cheers mate! Thanks

Just hooked to the battery, the Oxford Premium Heated Grips I use have a vibration sensor and shut down automatically. I didn't remove the tank and I could just wiggle the cable under the tank.

Hi Alex, great video! I know this is an old video but I wanted to ask, did you have to modify the loom to install the headlight? Or is it plug and play for the 1100? It was a plug and play, it uses the H4 power conector.
