I just got a 30" Valo smart hoop from Home of Poi and I absolutely LOVE it! It's batteries are spread out through the hoop so it has an even weight. It has 300 modes and a convent little remote that you can use to change all the settings + a programmable mode. I got my hoop wax from Mood Hoops though and my best friend has a great hoop from Mood Hoops. ❤💛💚💙💜

I've been thinking about buying that hoop. I've just received an LED hula hoop as a gift but having difficulty with tricks as it's out of balance so it keeps dropping out. I'm in England so I hope the shipping charges are not to much

Love your tips on LED hoops, one mistake I made was I bought a hoop that didn't have removable batteries from Astral Hoops and the first time i used it it had a fault, because the batteries were internal it had to be sent back as 'dangerous goods' and the shipping was incredibly expensive, also I was not happy with the customer service or the quality of the hoop so I have since purchased from MoodHoops who are amazing to deal with

Oh yes shipping is something that is out of anyone's control and it can get expensive! Such a shame xx

Suzi Brown I should’ve read this a year ago when I bought a second hand astral hoop that unbeknownst to me had a low battery that I would have to ship for service. I still have yet to ship it bc it’s so complicated but am now waiting for a set of moodhoops. Could’ve been $250 cheaper had I don’t my research 😭

I’ve got a Hyperion hoop and it’s freaking fantastic. My main motivation for an LED was that if I *did* have one I wanted it to be fully customisable. Not for performances or anything just for me hanging out with my friends at our parties/festivals. Luckily it was a gift so I didn’t have to foot the bill. 😅🤑💸 The only downside is because I know how much it cost, I’m really anxious about taking it to festivals where it would really work best. Instead I use it for our smaller self-curated festivals. Any tips for overcoming that fear? Added bonus of having a smart hoop: my boyfriend can play hooping with me (designing patterns or controlling the patterns) instead of just being the guy that looks after all my bags and hoops when I’m hooping at festivals. 😂

Oh yes I have seen these in action and they are GORGEOUS!!!! I have heard many horror stories of LED hoops going missing at festivals because they are so shiny and fun but I think having a place where you can safely store it (maybe a friend's stall, back stage or in a secret hiding spot) is good, but if even that feels too scary...chain it too you!! Ha! I never let go if mine. I remember I used to go to these dance parties in Tokyo and I would chain my LED to a tree and tie bags to it. Have to come up with a security system!!

Another important detail that I would like to know before purchasing an led hoop, it does not outweigh whether power source. Balanced hoop is easier to spin
@DeanneLove6 жыл бұрын
Yes important to check that with the manufacturer. I have never had an unbalanced one but maybe some of the cheaper ones might have that problem. Always contact the maker first to check :)

Thank you Deanne. I purchased a Phoenix a couple years ago bc some of my favorite hoopers use them and they are a local company for me here in CA. I have had many ‘software’ issues that were never fixed even after sending it in twice for repairs. I now have another issue and can’t get them to email me back! Not to mention you can not leave reviews on their website and the only reviews on there are from their sponsored hoopers 🧐. This is one of, if not the most expensive smart hoop and the service is very disappointing. I think next time I would definitely invest in mood hoops, I have one of their regular LED hoops and it has always worked great!

It is difficult to foresee any problems occurring but they def can happen with any electronics. Sorry to hear this happened!

I must mention that since I posted this I have been able to get in contact with the hoop manufacturers to get it repaired! Fingers crossed this finally fixes it :)

Dont do street performance wintertime in minus degrees on hard concrete with polypro led hoops, my futurehoop from moodshoops broke, 500€ gone.... :( Don't do my mistake, thats my tip!

I just purchased my first LED hoop and decided on the future hoop shuffle. Sad to say I am disappointed that I didn’t do more research on hoops after seeing Hyperions products! They have a hoop that is cheaper than the futurehoop that comes preloaded with 2500 light settings and patterns, one FREE downsize and a warranty. I think I will save up for it and buy it considering the mood hoop I got is underwhelming for the price point- leds are not 360, the settings are really hard to use, the construction is very rigid and the actual hoop is so off balance and heavy it’s almost impossible to use on body. *cries*

I love my brand new LED hoop from superhooper! I got the rainbow LED, very basic, very beautiful. I found that it's slightly lighter than the dance hoops that I make myself and slightly heavier than the polypros that I own. It turns out that that is the perfect weight for me to unlock leg hooping and I have made so many breakthroughs. And its just beautiful and amazing and I love it
@DeanneLove6 жыл бұрын
Oh beautiful!! Yes Super Hooper was my first LED and I love them! So great that it turned out to be a nice weight for you!

Hi Deanne! Did you get polypro or hdpe? I heard polypro breaks easily. Wondering if that's true because of the weight of the leds.
@steph34386 жыл бұрын
tytru55 polypro doesn't necessarily break easy, but since it is harder than hdpe it is more likely to crack under extremely low temps. Depending on the climate where you live, that may or may not be an issue for you. I haven't finished the video yet but something I wish I knew before investing in a smart hoop is looking at the cost of repairs just in case there was cracking. But if you do choose hdpe don't be too nervous, the weight difference is very minor it just feels slightly less rigid than polypro

Drop it hard enough, it cracks.

I'm loving my Mood hoop so much! At first I was afraid to play with it too roughly...lol..that new toy kinda feeling where you wanna keep it shiny and new..haha. But I played with it A lot today and it held up amazingly. Battery life is great and easy to recharge. I'm totally in love with it! Highly recommend! Also, I know some hoops have a "counterweight" in them to balance out the battery weight. I would ask about that when buying an led hoop too. Some companies will take out the counterweight or leave it out if requested👍
@DeanneLove6 жыл бұрын
Ha ha yes I know what you mean!! I am super gentle with mine HA! No rough stuff but they seem pretty strong!
@candiceumbdenstock47086 жыл бұрын
Everything Meeko Hi, so would you recommend counterweight or not?
@everythingmeeko9256 жыл бұрын
Candice Jackson yes on my Mood hoop because it helps counter balance the battery weight. It is just a tad heavier but nothing major enough to interrupt my flow. But that's just me. Everyone is different💓

So I can do all the tricks but I just can’t keep the hoola hoop around my waist it keeps falling down after the first or second time it goes around me. Could it be because I just started hooping and it’s a pretty small heavy one? What is the ideal size to get when you’re first starting?
@aya.love.u3 жыл бұрын
Small hoops are really hard to waist hoop with for pretty much everyone haha :) If you want to do on-body tricks bigger hoops are easier

Deanne Love can you tell me where i can get them in India And is mood the kind of hoop which makes patterns
@DeanneLove6 жыл бұрын
Oh I am not sure of a manufacturer in India. There are a few hoop makers that have patterns or designs in their LEDS. Yes moodhoops.com/led-hoops/ and also Astral, Hyperion, and Spinfx. But there might be others too :)

How can you make money with performing?
@cclaudio80692 жыл бұрын
If you get good enough at it and get hired for a festival or something ike that. You can get hired by yourself or if you work with company. They do them all the time at festivals near me. First thing is to get fairly decent at it. Take videos. Edit them nicely. Then apply at local places that do festivals or shows.
