So here is a query that’s bothered me: as a marine Electro-Technical Officer - ETO - I have to wonder how, if incorporating resistors, the BSI / BCM determines a lamp failure(?). With the resistance remaining paralleled with the line voltage, and if the LED module fails, then will the BSI ‘see’ the minuscule current disappear and, thus, give the *required* hyperflash? Or, in the case of some Mercedes & BMW cars, when a bulb-out is detected, hand over the turn signal job to a front fog light or a reversing light?

It seems to me that the current loss from a burnt LED would not register on the BCM if there is a separate resistor, and if the car did not originally use the brake light as a backup flasher, only the full housing replacements *might* add that function.

What is the durability of the LED tail light unit? If some of the LEDs stop working can I replace one or have to buy a whole new unit? Thanks.

These are very durable, in the event of a failure you could reach out and work out a warranty replacement with our customer service team!

I love my Morimoto tails on my Silverado. I get compliments everywhere I go. I did notice they have screws in the back, are they able to be pulled apart and color matched?

3:10 Could you give a little more detail about only having to change the relay? I have an obs Ford truck and those resistors melt plastic. Can I just replace the relay that will accommodate an led tail and turn signal? Thanks.

Some vehicles will have all of the lighting on the vehicle running through a single relay, and this is something that you can change out to correct for LED bulbs being installed. I have linked the flasher relay that you will need for your vehicle, and it is showing that you will need 2 of them for that specific vehicle! Yes, that is a safe replacement! 5W will be brighter but also have a shorter lifespan.

I have no luck with LED brake lights on my car. I have tried both with and without strobing. The strobing ones, when I turn on the headlights, the strobe pattern goes once and then never reset. And the LED will not have two intensity mode, like how the light glow brighter when you step on the brake pedal when driving at night. Any solution to that?

Iv been having this problem and im not sure when it started exactly iv had custom headlights with projectors and now led lighting with switchback halos as well I have led in my tail lights . Everything seems to work fine until I turn on either my parking lights or my headlights . Suddenly my halos won't operate correctly they kind of have both white and amber lit all messed up so I disconnected them for the time being. But still after the p lights are on my turn signals hyperflash. I have resistors on the tail lights. My front turn signal lights are stock. What is causing this hyperflash? I used a multimeter and my turn signals get a constant 10w load after I turn on the p lights and head lights what is causing this voltage leak. Please help me its been a while without my halos and I want it all to work correctly. I drive a 2010 jeep commander
