My 1989 DT200R came with a 60/55 watt halogen instead of the old snowmobile-style bulb yours had. I believe it was the original bulb (I bought the bike from the original owner) and he says he doesn't remember ever changing it. I'm at almost 39,000 kms. Go figure. Maybe the extra draw keeps the voltage down enough to not self-destruct. The LED would be a brighter light though, no questuon. I have LED headlights in everything else I own.

Ton easier to do than what I did floating a ground and running a regulator / rectifier and converting to DC lol. Great video and made sure to sub.

thankyou! yeah i had to think this through to make it easy for anyone to do without any fabrication - working great so far. Low beam could me more focussed but thats what you get from these old reflectors/lenses

@@mudbrats Hi guys, i come back to you after a few months because the DT200R project was running! I am very happy with your kit.It's was a bit difficult to put the de-coder behind the headlight with all these cables but it's OK! The old interior mirror of the headlight wasn't design to work with LED lamp but it turns night into day in front of the DT and all other vehicles run for their lifes!!!! Just kidding...I don't use to ride at night but when I need more light ,now,it's there. Thank you so much.

If you want to email a photo of your bulb and connector I can have a look, it would surprise me that the 2019 isn’t using a newer style halogen, so we can likely get you a bulb that’s plug and play no adapter. [e-mail]
