What I admire about Led Zeppelin's live performances is that they're completely unique, you'll never hear the same way twice. They changed the key from the studio version, add a verse, add a guitar solo, change the instrumentation, etc. It made their performances more special. I love it.

They changed the song's key (1 step higher) because they also changed the tuning Jimmy uses on guitar (studio version is on Open F tuning, live versions were on Open G). They changed the tuning for convenience's sake as That's The Way, the song preceding Bron-Y-Aur Stomp in the 1975 Earls Court setlist, was also in Open G. In the 1977 tour they took out That's The Way and replaced it with Black Country Woman, which was also in Open G.

Bron Yr Aur (breast of gold). I have driven past Bron Yr Aur many times over the years. As have many thousands and thousands of people without realising it. Just outside of the town of Machynlleth in North Wales. Historically important as the site of the first ever Senedd (Welsh parliament) under Welsh Prince, Owain Glyndwr. Bron Yr Aur is set in beautiful surroundings. A place where Plant would holiday with his family as a child, and seek refuge from the stresses of touring later on in life. It must have been a source of great inspiration.

I feel the same, I was 5-6 yrs too young too see them, but I have been listening to Zep since I was 11. Zep 3 was their 1st album I bought & I fell in love with this song immediately!! After thousands of listening to it, today (from the comments) I just learned it's about Plants Dog as well. It just makes me love it that much MORE!! Cheers!!

I've always felt a pleasant tingle with this version, ever since I was a little girl. It's a strange, joyful nostalgia, like a memory I never experienced. A feeling I had never been able to share.

BEST. BAND. EVER. The incredible wide scope+ diversity of Zeppelins material and the virtuosity and wide scope and diversity of their musical attack remains unequaled. It's staggering that with one or two exceptions they never repeated themselves stylistically in fact every song was in itself almost the style of brand new style unto itself.

One of the bests descriptions of Led Zeppelin ever..-! Each song was a unique tale, story, thunder, beast, poem, lyric, adventure, and beyond: into itself. Nothing like them (any of them)

Robert Plant is so high but is so into his music, Jimmy rocks his guitar like no one else. Music from the gut without inhibition!

Show me at least one musician at these days who can make show like this. Pure talents. Jimmy - phenomenal guitarist Robert - amazing voice John Bonham - one of the best drummers (rock'n'roll) John Paul Jones- great bass player. I'm 28 and I listen to this legendary band almost everyday. Enjoy music 😎

Reducing JPJ to "great bass player" is like saying Michaelangelo did that cool sculpture that one time. My man is a virtuoso of anything with strings or keys.

I honestly don't recall Led Zeppelin 'Live' recordings as being this tight or the clarity of each instrument and vocals being this good. Is this digital remastering technology at its best or is my hearing improving with age (think not the latter).... Man O Man, this is quite extraordinary. 3 Instruments and a Singer. Wow!!! I think I had almost forgotten quite how good LZ were...this is amazing!! Robert, Jimmy, Bonzo and John Paul at their ultimate best. I have now also found other recordings from this gig as good as this.... Outstanding!!
