Before I saw Led Zeppelin live in 1972 I thought Robert Plant's voice on the records must have been enhanced by electronic studio effects. Then I heard him sing. It was real. It was incredible.

This song is a bit punk before punk was even around. I believe the Ramones were influenced by the guitar lick too. Check out the next two song off this album, I Can’t Quit You Baby and How Many More Times. There’s some great live versions too. Ciao for now.

I really like this little proto-punk tune from their first album! Four musically gifted, versatile and creative young men, and LZ was definitely like no other band, eh? There is a cool early live version from a 1969 Danmarks Radio performance of this song you'd likely enjoy a lot.

Probably the shortest song on the album. In concert it`s 2X longer with the drum and guitar solos. That`s what`s great, new album toss on the 331/3 turntable and crank it up! Some songs are bluesy but most are Rock. Song to song yah just don`t know, u just know it will touch your soul!

He’s the greatest vocalist, his range & lung capacity is out of this world. All couples have some communication breakdowns. The only band who has every song is great, a few might not be at the top of your LZ list.

Robert Plant can rightfully be considered the most INFLUENTIAL vocalist in rock history. I’m not claiming he is the “best”-perhaps that title goes to Freddy Mercury, but Robert surely IS the most emulated and therefore, the most influential.

Around this time the only person who sounded similar to Robert Plant was Steve Marriott. If you're in any doubt how much Plant & Zep were influenced by him then listen to 'You Need Lovin' by the Small Faces & then compare it to Zeppelin's 'Whole Lotta Love'. Then see if you can spot the difference, especially with regards to lyrics & vocals.
