Robert was only 22 here. For the rest of his 20's he was 'The Golden God'. What a journey that decade must have been for all of them. If I had a time machine I would take you both to London in 1970 & take you to this gig. I would love to watch you both during the show. Andrei needs to go to a karaoke bar, grab the mic & belt out a Zeppelin song as soon as possible for the sake of his health 🤣

“What a journey that decade must have been”. Indeed it was. Don’t know how familiar you are with their story……there were extreme highs and horrific lows…Robert especially looks back on that decade with definite pride at their accomplishments, but also with sadness, some anger, and bemusement at his “golden god” status. He took years trying to shed that persona. Now he views it with a sense of humor and self-deprecation.

You are so right to point out how they all shine. Jimmy Page said that the music of Led Zeppelin was designed to FEATURE every member of the band and that every song on every album was considered a 'single', meaning that if it wasn't of the highest standard, it wouldn't be on the album. This explains why they don't have any bad songs.

I want to tell you the best comment I’ve ever heard about Led Zeppelin was (Im paraphrasing here) when you stated, when I listen to Led Zeppelin I feel there is something bigger than me. WOW! PERFECT explanation! I was 7 years old when my brother’s friend had loaned him this album. I was 8, my baby brother was 6. My brother who brought it home, was learning how to play the guitar. Both our parents worked and we basically brought ourselves up. We were the Latch key children of the 1970’s. Anyway we were freaked out! We kept looking at the scary “hippies” on the back cover. We listed to this album over and over again. My brother developed his guitar gifts and could play just like Jimmy Page after practicing all day and night for years. He was in several bands throughout his life. We all continued to listen to Led Zeppelin throughout our lives. It was our bond. BTW my mother kept hiding this album from us we would find it in the trash one day. We just fished it out and kept on listening. Then she gave up and later having to be forced to listen to her children listening to Led Zeppelin she too became a listener of Led Zeppelin. I really enjoy watching these first reaction videos for me, they were the “best band ever.” They changed rock music forever. I’m 63, lived my life pursuing my passions and I’m grateful for that and I still listen to Led Zeppelin. I know this is a long comment. I hope you are both safe and strong. Thank you for having an open mind.

I know that is an unpallateble statement to some, but this bands function is subconscious. They know things that cannot be known. You gotta go under mind with Zeppelin to know. Some things happen seemingly by chance. Thumbs up great vid loved it.

Love this performance and enjoyed your reaction to it very much. Thanks! One observation, however. They didn't "let" Page do anything. It was his band and he was in charge both on and off stage. During performances, the others followed his lead. If you observe him closely, you can see him frequently giving signals to the other three. That's not to say that any of the other three couldn't stretch and improvise if they felt like it during performances. Page enjoyed that a lot, but they didn't give him "permission" to do anything. He did exactly what he felt like doing, and for as long as he felt like doing it. Edit: If the others thought Page was going long during a solo, and sometimes they went very long, they could try to signal to him that it might be time to move on, but it didn't always work. ;)
