That very rare occasion where each member is outstanding and fate made them find each other. I do think that Rush are very close with amazing talent coming together. Not into their music as much, but it seems they were destined to play together as well. Surpreme talent.

One thing you can count on…..ALWAYS Jimmy….guitar…..bow….reactor mind BLOWN 🤯!!!! Free Jimmy fun fact: As a session musician Jimmy met alot of musicians. At the time he was using a box to drag across the guitar. In the mid 60’s he had a recording session with a violin player and that man is the one who suggested the bow. Jimmy said the guitar doesn’t arch like the violin. The violinist said “have a go” ….Jimmy did…. Then said you know I think I can work with this…& the violinist gave Jimmy his 1st box of bows which he did use in the Yardbirds…..the violinist was the father of Scottish born actor David McCallum who plays Ducky the chief medical examiner on CBS’s …NCIS

At 10.35 you said the drummer “missed it”. No you were a mile off. The pause was deliberate, less is more. Bonzo never played the expected. Led Zeppelin never played what Joe public would anticipate. But what they played was always magnificent. I quite often see people doing Air Drums reacting to Led Zeppelin and most of the time their way off. That’s not a criticism it’s about the unique style of John Bonham.
@TheMusicRecordingNetwork2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Phil I appreciate you pointing that out and you feedback... peace and love always
@SirMan482 жыл бұрын
@@TheMusicRecordingNetwork I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. What needs to be understood, imo, is that these jams are essentially improvised off a somewhat rehearsed structure. Bonham did miss the hit, but I think he did intentionally, to mess with the bass player. Loads of ad libbing. That first "hit", look at Jones' (bass player) reaction. I think that first hit kind naturally came together, and Bonham almost caught the bass player sleeping...then the second time, when he did "miss it", I think he deliberately avoided it, just to mess with the bass player. The bass player's reaction there is sort of "oh okay, we're skipping it?"

You don't just hear a set of songs with these Cats. They take you on a trip sometimes to places your mind hasn't been. Four greatest EVER ROCK N ROLL / BLUES BAND. Greatest Drummer..so great ..when he died in 1980 the band knew he couldn't be replaced. Different level. These dudes were Grand Masters ........Greatest Bass / Keyboard artist....he was a musical genius ..John Paul Jones...could play ...ANYTHING Greatest vocalist You ever heard a white dude sound like this guy ? Just one in a million vocalist / harmonica player. Then there's the lead guitarist. Jimmy Page ....in my opinion was World Class. He got high on dope on many nights ...but he was always magical. He formed the band ..produced the records .....wrote the songs ......it was all his vision to create this band and play music .....he knew every kid in the late 60 s and early ,70s was dying to hear. 35 minute stories ..adventures.....using rock n blues played to the MAX. That's why they will never be knocked off as GOATS
