Zeppelin can do it all, from acoustic folk style, to blues to hard rock and everything in between. Sometimes they even do all the different styles and genres in one song (e.g., Stairway to Heaven). There are no limitations on Led Zeppelin, they do whatever they like... and lucky for us, one of the things they really like, is great music 😎

"Stairway to heaven" is the icing on the cake

Inna, almost half the songs on Led Zeppelin III are acoustic (and amazing!).Also, John Paul Jones was playing a mandolin in this performance (while Jimmy played guitar).

If you like to hear more of this sort of song from Led Zeppelin, try The Rain Song next. The band wrote and played all sorts of music, from the hard-rock sound for which they're justly famed, to old-school blues, to psychedelic rock, to this sort of folk-rock acoustical sound. And it's all fantastic.

Ty! Love these gents, love your reactions! 😊 Zep is incredibly varied. Any song a delight. Many of these more acoustic songs are off the album Led Zeppelin III. Not exclusively of course.

They do a set of acoustic songs, & a verity of genres, & all are amazing. That is also what makes them so great, with several masterpieces too. The greatest band ever!

The girl in California is of course the great Joni Mitchell. Plant, like all of us 50+ years ago, loved her.

if you want more softer melodies from Led Zeppelin check out "Thank You" or "All my Love"

Led Zeppelin has made songs in many different styles, and were very much into experimenting with new ideas. Most of their third album has some of this kind of stuff (though this song is from the 4th album)- and this concert also has a great live version of Bron-Y-Aur Stomp.

Jimmy Page was a big fan of Bert Jansch, an acoustic folk and blues guitarist. There is a whole world of 60's folk/jazz/blues artists from Great Britain that wrote fantastic songs that were mostly acoustic.

Led Zeppelin did not want to be simply a 'heavy rock' band after their single 'Whole lotta love' became a hit in 1969... Robert Plant and Jimmy Page were big fans of folk artists like Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, CSNY (Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young)... so, their 3rd album 'Led Zeppelin III' in 1970 was a mostly acoustic record - songs like "Gallow's pole" ... 'Tangerine'... "That's the way"... "Bron-Y-Aur stomp"... 'Out on the tiles'... etc. Of course, fans at the time were not receptive to that switch in sound... but 'Led Zeppelin IV' was released in 1971 and the epic song 'Stairway to Heaven'... bridged both the acoustic folk and heavy rock influences. That record had a bit of both heavy and acoustic songs and it sold 24 million copies in the US alone.

They way these reaction videos are taken down for copyright infringement almost instantly by the legal teams that represent the band belies such stupidity and greed on their behalf, they simply cannot see this increases people's interest in the band, and maybe just maybe that could be beneficial in the long term.
